    Remembrance Day In Ubon

Show your support and buy a poppy for remembrance day as they are now available at Peppers, N-Joy and the Wrong Way.

On the 11/11/09 there will be a remembrance service and presentation to the people of Ubon Ratchatani for their compassion and help to Allied Prisoners Of War.

Wednesday 11th November at the monument of Merit in the main park (Tung Si Muang)

Events are planned from 9am onwards and the traditional two minutes silence will be held at 11am.
News is what someone, somewhere is trying to suppress - everything else is just advertising.

    Nice one MM.

Can you confirm where the proceeds go to, as Asian charities often seem to think donations equal a free lunch.

Will there be a game of 'Two- up'? Will everyone be pissed by 11a.m?
Gotta run with these Aussie traditions- and as an ex-Serviceman meself, I'm not allowed to buy a beer.

    See ya there.

Saw the organiser last night and he said that proceeds go towards helping ex servicemen living in Thailand. Only Poms though.

That's a bit off. I'd tell them to sick it until they get their act together.
