You'll be lucky to find anyone to do a good, safe job. If you do hire someone and can be there to oversee things then do so. Watch them like a hawk and make sure they know what an 'earth/ground' is, and that they will actually wire it up properly, because 99% of sparkys don't.

Its all what you make of it. I live here in Kranuan 25% of the time.
I married a a cute little Thai lady. No regrets. I made an suitable air con Apartment in the house for about 70,000bht. I do help the family, but not not a point where it is even an annoyance. I am glad to help.
