Glad to see yer post. We have a home South of Sawang Daen Din, on the road to Song Dao, right outside of Ban Noi Nongbua and Ban Puay. Quaint little hamlet and one need only go to Sawang to have 7/11, internet and some shopping. I will take my quiet and restive little niche of time-stood-still and forego the amenities of life in the city.....and, we too, fly from BKK to Udon Thani, rather than take the bus. Even the Express is a bit unnerving.

    sakhon nakhon

    hi,
my wife has a farm near sakhon nakhon and we stay there every year minimum 2 month december - januar. it very relaxing and i like to stay - of cause we travel around from this place to mekong, lao and so on.
I dont understand your problems with the bus. why not take the plane?
s.n. has a nice airport an service to bkk every 1 - 2 times with pbair it takes less than 1 hour. but if you like the bus why not take the vip bus with bussines class comfort direct s.n. bkk every evening from different privat companies.
