Recommendation for a nice Seafood restaurant in Sawang Dan Din.

It is located directly opposite the Toyota car showroom on Highway 22. ( tesco end of town )

Open from 10am to 10pm and will also do breakfast of your choice. Give it a try. Nice Sala ( gazebos ) settings. Owner speaks very good English

Several months ago I responded to a Teak Door posting and attended a Friday lunch beer drinking gathering at Tesco and met a great bunch of guys. Now our wives meet as well at a restaurant of their choice and it turns out good for everyone.

There's John from Australia, Kevin from Ireland, Bernard from France, Bernie from England, Barry from England, Manfred from Germany, Casper from Australia, Wade from the USA, Tarryl from Australia and me, from Australia.

If you like to join us we meet at Tesco in Sawang Daen Din at 11:30am each Friday.

    See you then.
    Thanks Billy,....
It would be nice if your regular meeting still goes on! I just left little Denmark and have settled 24 km west of Sawang Daen Din on Lars Somchai's little jungle village. My wife and I build a little villa out there 6 years ago so now it is time for retirement relax! We have family in SDD and I might invest in a Samlor when my pension rolls in next month and I am planning a lot of trips to SDD - If you still meet I might attend soon ;-)

LOL nahhh I might get it "tuned" - in total we have 36 km from the house, first 12 km to HW22/Ban Koh Tai and then 24 km by local bus so the samlor will always be the fastest - and the missus can make sure that I get my coffee, sweets, music and whatever I need along the way ...... C. U. some friday ;-)

Hi Kevin..........sorry to have missed you both ....back in SDD for a month or so...have been up to Chiang Mai on a road trip for a week or so.....great trip except b.......freezing with no heater in the car....
.very cold in SDD at present by Thai standards...clear skies and only low 20's day time.... down below 15 most nights!....but still warmer than Dublin!.......Route 22 is again being widened ....a lot of it to 4 lanes between Udon and SDD.......will be very glad to be able to pass those ancient, slow, overloaded sugar cane trucks.....with harvest in full swing at present.
