A kid's day out in Ubon.

I'm gonna be in Ubon with a 4 year old for a day in a few weeks. Have only driven through there before, and it looks well.. dull as dish water. Are there any places that anyone can recommend going to or seeing. A Zoo, waterpark, amusement park, swimming pool... anything really.

...is the best we're gonna get a playpen in a 'Big C' shopping centre?

Anything that would be fun and active for a kid, It'd be great to hear about.

    Thanks.

Heres an easy daytrip you can do-

    https://teakdoor.com/thailands-travel...tchathani.html

The main Park late afternoon is Ok for people warching.
Theres also a few places on the river you can eat on a raft, eat river fish & prawns.
There is a swimming pool & gym somewhere that I've read about.

There looks like some new and very large children's playgrounds in the main park.

That does sound good for the evening... the day trip is into Ubon though so won't fancy going too far out from it.

A riverside/boat/restaurant thing does sound ok for dinner.

I'll have to try and find out about the swimming pool, that sounds good.

    That could be cool.

No worries. 4 year old kids are easy to entertain. A park with playground and some fish to feed will keep him/her busy all day. You should be sure to take a good book.

I agree. Take a book and head down to the main park. The play grounds are on the western side and look new and safe.
