    bamboo bar,farang place

found bamboo bar, place is pretty, few farangs around, waitresses speak well english, but it makes buriram, still a lost place in the middle of nowhere...
Regarding the visa run side of this trip chom chong border is still great of easiness and not discovered by the runners, 2 casinos, 2 hour drive to angkor wat by a good cambodian type of road, aranyapratet is just to silly actually, crowded, and the road to ankor is longer and much worst...
so we landed here in the bamboo bar of bulilam...food arrived and looks good
    salut et bon apetit

    about lasterday in bulilam

lasterday in buriram, found the Bamboo bar alone, no great help on this forum, looks like you people do not know this place much more then me...

Food was good, ladys were talking english, the owner is a brit but was away in his hometown may be to make the bucks keeping this place going on...

i passed this town few times but this was the first time i wanted to stop and see, there is a dart board and the customers are mostly farangs, the place is nicely made out of bamboo all over roof included, would give some good pics, unfortunately it was to dark to shoot with my poor fone cam...

So nextertime it could be stop over again...

I think i prefer bamboo bar on soi Suk 3...

If you chek it out on the who is a teacher thread i was negative on that answer, i'm normally not a visa runner having for few years a WP and aswell Non B multiple entry visa, but as i left the visa duty to be cared by someone else i am now a tourist for a few days, even it is written NON B until july 06 on a page of my passport...

I speak french normally, yes and here some translation for the peolple disturbed from my english:

    lasterday, hier

    nexterday, demain
( new vocabulary made out by my 5 year old at the time...)

fioouuuu, not such an interesting thread i spose,so i try to add you one extra here...

.....paste no work still !!! have to go the way gallery again and son on, so next post, sorry...

I met a tgf last year who came from a place called Bullilan (that's what it sounded like) she said there was a university there. I think that on the map it seems to be about 1-2 hours north from Bangkok. Could that be correct??

There are plenty of places in Buriram where you can get a nosebag, you found the Bamboo, it is thai owned, not ferrang owned, the ferrang that was there is renting one of my properties in the uk, he drank the place dry and returned skint, but is up and coming again now, good food in the Bamboo, when i first visited there 12 years ago there was knowwhere, but the place is not a shithole as you say, i am now going to ask you what shithole are you from, thank god you did not meet yorkie there, with an attitude like that, you would not have left, beleive me.

looks like old posts reappear some times...

I crossed Buriram a few times and never found any entertainement area, bar, etc... i was wondering at that earlier times if some could help make the town less dull then it looks like...

Shit hole was a bit harsh, but for someone who just crosses the place and wants to have a meal, and may be a beer and some entertainment, i would say it is rather difficult to find it there if nobody guides you !

I went previously at 2 earlier times through town and never stopped, as nothing was appealing...

    Bamboo bar was alrigth...

Thaicoon looks like you know the town, any other places to bookmark for a may be next visit up there ?

I for myself leave in Korat, entertainement, good food, massage, bars, all that kind of stuff easy found and available over here...

Korat, good place, i go there now and again, take the Mrs shopping in the Mall, and go downstairs and have a beer when she spends the money, Woman, The bamboo is the best place for ferrang food, but there are other laces, pizza, Kfc, the norm, next time you are up that way postmark me, if i am there i will show you around, all the best.
