There were two breakfasts on offer in the Mendip household this morning...

Normal food (with Brook baked beans)...

Or ant egg/pupae, mushroom and chilli gloop...

After much consideration I opted for the fry-up, although I'm sure that it wasn't the healthy option.

^ She had boiled eggs with soldiers.

There were in fact three breakfasts on offer... but I didn't want to show off.

Although there is obviously something going on and I need to be wary...

The best breakfast in the world (TM) v a bowl of boiled insects.

    Jesus Christ.

You must have been mulling over that decision for nanoseconds?

I think it is better to ask "who doesn't?".
Answer I suppose is "Fukin Americans"!

In the land down under they are a staple at breakfast for many a people.
Baked beans on toast after a bowl of Weet-Bix is the breakfast of champions.

Sorry. What a sloppy messy way to start one's day. Wet messy beans running all over the plate polluting the other food.

Best for British folk to put all their food in a blender and call it a morning.

    Close too/out of date, stock?

I'm awaiting the Black Pudding ensemble.

Brixton market Greasy Spoons, a breakfast for the condemned man to die after.

Select your meal from the chalk board, add a mug of tea, toast or fried bread. Then sit down and read The Sun newspaper, while waiting.

Clearly it's a British thing KW. In all my life I have never seen anyone in the states eat or order sloppy baked beans with BFast. Clearly a cultural preference which is all good.

Isn't this pretty much established, by now?

Why the fuck anyone should care is less clear.

Said every fucking tourist in history who's back home planning their next holiday and can't believe Foreigners living in Thailand could possibly eat anything besides Thai food 24/7 365. How any Expat could eat a burger or pizza or pasta or baked beans or lamb chops or anything else locals don't typically eat regularly is a real mystery to some

All their other beans (Heinz, Branston, SPC, etc) are a similar price and like a ton of other everyday grocery items they stock, it's by far the cheapest place to buy them in Pattaya if not Thailand. But it's a tin of beans that costs loose change so who gives a shit about price, I just wanted to know if they were any good or should I stick with Branston.

An Aussie thing too, but fair enough. You want those flavors all mixing in, beans, runny egg yolk, sausage fat…mmmmm. Drool!!

    Aussie Breakfast Fry-Up

    A day in the life...-screenshot-2021-06-13-15-33-a

^ Similar ... we have white bread because of the kids.

Canned Champignon Mushies also ... it's a compromise.

Why does the Septic spell-checker not recognise 'Champignon'?

    Old joke...

    An Aussie 3 course breakfast:

    A cup of tea

    A cigarette

    And a good look around

On that plate of Mendy's English breakfast, I'd eat everything except the beans. I'd substitute it with toast or rice (gasp!).

Do you guys get the farts after eating those beans? That's been my problem whenever I eat those things.

Of course! One of the joys with beans is letting a smelly out in a Tesco/Lotus aisle.
