Actually, I don't know it, Mendip.
But if you say Snakeeyes knows it, it would be a toss up between xxxx and yyyy, and it looks more like yyyy would be and not like xxxx is, so it's probably yyyy.
But I won't guess.

^ beat me to it.
Yeah... well done Lom. The George and Dragon Pub, one of the oldest 'farang style' pubs in Korat.
I first had a pint in here in 2006... popped in for another today but it was shut.
Rumours at first were that it was closed for refurbishment but it seems it may be shut forever. Very few farang bars seem to survive in Korat despite an ever increasing Western population. Maybe everyone drinks at home with their dogs?
Green owed!
Ah, the George & Dragon. That was xxxx. I've been in there but I've never seen it with the doors closed and that was why the picture was unfamilar to me.
There are twp of these in Korat...
Why are they there... and where is this one?
Location No. 45... Where is Coco?
Coco looks like its learning to fly with those ears
Location : Korat high flyovers club!
Thanks for the pictures Mendip. I remember most of the places posted and had some good times living there for work. I miss my moto rides up to Wang Nam Kiew with a few of my Thai engineer friends. There is that big lake that the road winds around that I have since forgotten the name and a GREAT coffee shop over looking it at the half way point heading to Khao Yai.
Sima Thani bridge going over the rail track, it has two flyovers/driveunders and I think this is the northern one

Well done Lom!
Korat has two flyovers crossing the train track, both with a U-turn underneath the main road. They are more west and east, rather than north and south.
The one that Coco visited was the western one underneath Mitraparp Road, and right by the Sima Thani Hotel. The other one to the east is in Hua Thale, up my part of town.
In the picture the train track lies behind the cars making a U-turn but in front of the silver 4 x 4 parked in the distance.
Another green owed!
Lom, this can't be only from Google Maps... you must have lived in Korat at some point?
There's also a flyover in Joho, but it doesn't go over a railway line.
^ Yeah, you're right Nev, I hadn't thought about that one. I very rarely go up that way but it's a small enclave for Westerners.
All this talk about flyovers...
Coco wanted to try her paw at driving. I was against it at first, but then thought she can't do a worse job than most of the other people on the roads round here, so I gave her a go.
Which new junction is she approaching? Location No. 46... Where is Coco?
(and anyone sneaky enough to read Thai will probably find this quite easy... I'm hoping the English is too small to read!)
I've only been in Korat once and that was a two day stopover some 16-17 years ago, stayed in Sima Thani hotel btw
Sima Thani bridge has two flyovers, one at each end of the bridge, and I meant that this is the upper one on the map (northernmost).
There is another flyover to the west where the railway is going under road 304 but it has the wrong kind of road lamps.

^ I see what you mean now... yes, this was the northerly flyover at the Sima Thani Hotel.
The green is safely owed!
And 16-17 years ago... what a memory you have! Obviously not a cider drinker.
Road 290 to Buriram
^ It's a junction, so Coco requires two road numbers!
I'd love to owe you half a green... but I don't make the rules.
You were on road 2 just in front of the 290 turn off
Wow!
Good try... but wrong!
Still only half a point... one road correct. The 290 is the new ring road... so lots of junctions.
Ya need to think where Coco's been recently...
(and it's a real pleasure to find someone with as much spare time as I seem to have at the moment!)
^ So continue on eastwards from the 304 junction... and...
Mahatmawitthayalai Road?
290 and 2310
Dillinger did the ground work so he should have the greens
