Bladdy hell... a green for Dill. That Carlsberg must work wonders! Korat Clock Tower it is indeed.

But only one green unfortunately... that clock has been stuck on 10:35 forever... my phone tells me that pic was taken at 16:27. Forget my watch, it's an old Air-King Date and keeps appalling time.

To be honest you could have worked that through... it was obviously not 10:35pm... but also not 10:35am. That pic is not a selfie, meaning my photographer daughter took it. And she's at school at 10:35am!

But very well done... a green owed!

^^ Well done Lom... yes, it's pretty much opposite yesterday's Pizza Hut, and across the moat.

Dill just beat ya to it!

The watch and the clock look to be about 10 minutes different.

If theres a bonus green on offer, the exif data shows 00.27, not 16.27 for some reason...
    on June 19th

If you look closely at the watch it could be 16:27... I think the second hand must have been pointing up towards the 12...

Looking at the exit data could be construed as cheating... we've been down that road before, but I'll let it pass.

I wonder if that data gets corrupted after a pic is stored on Google photos and then downloaded?

Edit... well ain't that strange, the pic was taken on June 18th, last Thursday on the way home from school.

So no bonus green for the wrong time and wrong date, for sure.

Ahh, maybe the time it was uploaded to Google Photos.

Do you get those stylised photo messages off them? They do those hours later.
They animate some of them too.

Anyway, get another one up before Nev gets out of his pit

I downloaded the photo from TD and then checked the Properties of it in Windows.

    Date taken 6/18/2020 (!!) 16:27

Yeah quick... Nev must be having a lie-in!

Coco wanted a big cow leg bone to chew on, and the best place I know where to get them for just 5 Baht each is this market by the moat.

There is a very big clue in the background.

Which market did Coco get her bone from? Location No. 27... Where is Coco?

Note: This was a 'selfie' but I've flipped it for you.

If only you'd done that before Lom...

Location No. 26 is closed now unfortunately.

Is it Mae Kim Heng Market, just outside the western moat?

    ^ No... but good try!

I had to look that market up as my Google Maps only show's it's name in Thai. Are you using something different?

If you look, there's no water in the moat near your Mae Kim Heng Market, and in the pic the market is alongside water. There's also a big clue in the background above the blue Toyota...

Just googled Korat markets and that came up. There was a big fire there last year.
Large fire devastates Thai market in downtown Korat

I'm guessing that is one of those gates above the blue toyota. Is it called Night Bazaar?. I dont think its Saveone

^ Aah OK... I think it's also called the Flower Market. They had a mysterious fire.

Yes, it's one of those city gates. The Night Bazaar is a long way off, and Saveone is bladdy miles away!

To be honest it's difficult to appreciate how difficult these are for someone who doesn't know Korat... so well done anyway!

A small clue... the market is inside the city moat... not outside.

    Yep... spot on Lom.

Coco went to the Pra Tu Phi Market, or Cha's Market as we call it in this house as we have a friend called Cha who lives just nearby.

The Pra Tu Phi Market is just inside the southern moat, to the east of the South Gate.

They do the cheapest cow leg bone's that I've found in Korat, and the beef woman's daughter is very easy on the eye to boot!

Another green owed... I need to set up a spread sheet.

Doesn't look a bad place to live actually. I never thought of visiting Korat before, it's not far from the inlaws either, in South Buriram but I always headed to North Buriram to get my farang food fix.
Looking on google maps, it's a two hour drive but only 107kms away. Not the best roads that way then especially considering I could get up to speeds of 160kmh from Pattaya to Buriram

^ If you drive from Bangkok it should take around three and a half hours, but a new motorway is almost finished which should knock an hour off that. From the coast, Pattaya/Rayong and the like, it's a combination of the 331 and 304. There has been loads of work done on the 304 through Khao Yai over the past few years and that trip can easily be done in under five hours now (but probably with speeding tickets).

What I miss most about living in Korat is the option of going out for an anonymous drink... it's very small and has only a handful of 'farang' watering holes. I don't need that often, but now and again would be nice.

There should be more to life than taking selfies with my dog about town and ogling the beef woman's teenage daughter!

^ I got four last year, there's cameras every where now. One of them was a very dubious red light jump... I was just stuck in a traffic queue.

Lucky for me they all go to the wife!

Yeah, I need to have a burnout now and again, although I've been out once here in the last 6 Months with this covid thing.

I bet Nev knows a few anonymous hang outs. Snap a pic of Coco outside a few seedy looking joints, offer a green and he'll soon put you straight.
