From what I can see on the net, Pratu Phonsan is the city gate to the north. If you look at any pictures of it, there's a big temple directly opposite the gate, looking outside the city. There is no such temple outside our 'selfie' gate.

The gate we took our selfie at wasn't the north one. But it's name was almost exactly the same... Pratu Phon___...

^^ I assumed that like any walled city, the heavily fortified gates would be to allow access in times of peace. With a rectangular wall and moat, would it not make sense to have a gate in the centre of each wall?

On our way to the FATBOY Tavern we had to stop at a red light... and while waiting, in a lovely act of affection Coco laid her little paw on my arm.

This brought back long forgotten memories... my wife used to do stuff like this before we got married, back when I didn't have to rely on Pornhub.
