Mittrathingymebob road
2002... I look back fondly to 2002... I was living in Singapore, had never even heard of Korat and hadn't met the missus. In fact I seem to remember I was knocking about with a girl from Sakon Nakhon back then and used to visit up that way occasionally.
Anyway... no good will come of reminiscing...
When I came to Korat in 2006 I seem to remember a 'Texas' pub... a wooden outside and located somewhere along Mitraphap Road in the area of the Sima Thani Hotel. Could that have been in?
Well she does say Korat Texas, i don't remember it being that decked out although its was not always the first bar i'd been to by the tine i got there and only went 3-4 times.
Christ, anyone would think the CIA have been wiping records on the place. I had to dig out an old lonely planet- its labeled Korat Texas 2003 in there...as i say was a bit hazy back then.

Ok..... from your pond, you drive down the dual carriageway to the end of the road, take a right and it's there on your left, Makro Food Service.
Now wheres my green
Its amazing how they fuk up the wording on signs so regularly when pressing the English button
Very well done indeed... especially considering that you're a non-Koratian (ya lucky bugger).
Yes... Makro, Hua Thale on the 224. We popped in to get some Moose Cider and potatoes!
Sorry though... can't green you just now. Green very much owed!
Edit: I just realised that you duped me... you have no idea where my pond is. Your directions were uncannily accurate and we do live very close to that Makro... but green cancelled. Sorry.
Coco seems to be developing a wrinkly head...i think all this getting touted round Korat is leaving her worried she may get left somewhere.
^ She does seem a bit bemused by it all... but every time we bring her back home it must increase her trust.
And besides... it keeps me occupied!
The weak link in the chain is the daughter. Can you believe she finds it embarrassing to take pictures of her dad holding a dog in the air across town!
The little bugger has started charging me 20 Baht for every pic used!
^ Yeah, that's the one. It definitely used to me more brown and normal wood colour.
I've never been inside either. Is that the Texas star up on the chimney?
Sheriff's badge, or Star of David. Maybe they serve Manischewitz wine.
Coco got all nostalgic today, so we went here...
Location No. 7... Where is Coco?
This is super advanced 'Nev' level, but I think maybe NPT and Snakeeyes will know...
Free Coco
^ Seems fair enough... so long as she doesn't insist on 'skillet-cooked'!
^ How cruel... but she does have some ears on her, that's for sure!
It could be any one of a million shops, cafes, restuarants or small bars in Korat, but it looks vaguely familiar. You say Coco was nostalgic but methinks it was you who was nostalgic - for your freer single days or days out on the town, so it is (or was) probably a bar and the only one I can remember that was that small and looked vaguely like that was on Seupsuri Road. I remember talking to a couple of interesting guys there about a decade or more ago, one guy worked with rocks and stuff. The place has had a few names but a guy called Paul ran the place initially and had good quiz nights. Sport and Cocktail bar then. Then an Aussie guy had the bar and unfortunately passed away. The Walrus then.

^ Yeah, you got it Nev!
I'll leave it a while before revealing the answer in case anyone else is around who may know...
