I've had the pleasure of meeting Mr and Mrs Shutree this weekend.
They got me in a mess on Friday night in town so today was a sedate affair. Here is Mr Shutree getting acquainted with Maya.
I've learnt two things about Shutree...
One is that I've been mentally pronouncing his name incorrectly all this time. It's pronounced Shoetree as in 'shoe', and not Shutree, as in 'shut'. There is also a story behind the name but that was early evening conversation and I can't for the life of me remember what it is. Something about a Chinese tree I think... or was it a Chinese shoe?
The second is that he ain't a great fisherman, although he did help clear the pond of branches.
The best dressed fisherman we've ever had!
Only kidding... we caught a fine pla duuk each and as the Shutree's didn't fancy taking a dead catfish on the six hour drive home tomorrow I got to keep them both!
And as a special treat for Willy we're having barbecued pla duuk for lunch tomorrow, so long as Anna doesn't steal one first. She loves her fish.
