    We're all set.

I threaded the rope through the top of the net today and then attached the blanked off pvc piping with cable ties for buoyancy.

We tested this in the pool and it worked like a dream.

The chain hugged the bottom while the pontoons stayed afloat, extending the net from the surface to the bottom. You can see at the deep end the chain was suspended slightly above the bottom of the pool.

The wife's frog enclosure has been cleaned out and is well on the way to being filled with water to contain the good fish during operations.

This is all getting pretty exciting.

I am amazed that any suggestion of mine might have merit let alone work.

    Don't start without me.

I'm surprised a test in his swimming pool took all day... no wonder the pier took 174 days to make!

^ You don't know the half of it... that net feasibility study was squeezed in between a game of Monopoly and trying to train Maya to collect windfall limes.

I lost and Maya just doesn't get it, btw.

And where do you get 174 days? Surely you're not counting 'Macha Budha Day' and all the other important public holidays!

I would say 168 days is fair.

And also, last night I spilt a glass of iced water across my laptop and it just won't fire up today. My daughter kindly let me borrow her set-up to upload my net feasibilty pics... and now I've had a load of questions about 'Smochi'... she's only 10 but is growing up fast.

She called me a pervert tonight...

It's very hard to defend that accusation... after looking at another thread I've become addicted to TikTok.

    Ffs... I'm 54!

Inspired by JPPR, I looked around today for a bottle of Bourbon.

Priapic Pig would have been my first choice obviously, but I ended up with this.

    An Isaan Pond-img_1163-jpg

It's probably some shit they sell in Costco, of course.

After an 18 month stretch in KSA it's doing the job.

I may be back later to question the parentage of some renowned trouble maker like Norton.

News Just In: It's fkin great to be home.

In my defence, your attention span is clearly pretty limited.

You help out with kids who have the same challenges, right?

Until you see something outside the window.

He managed to fly under the radar for awhile, but not intentionally more a case of just as boring as shite and ignored by most.

    Well.... cheers Cyrille, welcome back.

FYI, that Bourbon wouldn't even make it to
Costco shelves. More like CVS or Walgreens.

30 more days until my trek back home begins.

    Nice one Cyrille!

After 18 months it must be fantastic.

A word of warning... I started out all fancy back in February when I eventually got back home... Hong Thong, using glasses, waiting until 5pm...

You'll be on the lunchtime Ya Dong before you know it!
