Anna's smart. She doesn't join in with the others in the morning, they seem to overwhelm her and she gets her morning treat while lounging on her chair.

But every evening she sneaks into the kitchen and knows that a treat will come her way when she sits down.

Funny how different folks se things differently but what I see is not doing what you want but rather you doing what they want.
    They're paying you Mendy.

You shouldn't have favourites of course, but this little girl is mine.

She has a beautiful ridge running down her spine. I can't believe she hasn't found a home yet.

Here she is, eating breakfast with her brother (left) and sister.

    Cute...

They deserve homes. My foundling Frankie has been with us for nearly 2 weeks now. She is putting on weight, her back legs are stronger and already had her first jab at the vet's. She is still below the age when she should have left her mother, this means she didn't learn some social skills which might be a disadvantage for her for ever. She is never going to be a pretty dog.

    Anna the dog-frankie5weeks-jpg

We probably made the right decision to find her some company. The now renamed Panda (because, obviously, she looks nothing like a panda but it is easier for locals to pronounce than Grace) is a month older than Frankie and will always be a larger dog. She is probably uglier too.

    Anna the dog-panda10weeks-jpg

They aren't as close as true sisters but they do interact fairly well and play together a bit, despite the size difference. More importantly they keep each other company at night.

I am still hoping that someone will find a home for a couple of Mendip's street puppies. They are old enough to move without trauma now and they are better looking than my two.

Remember reading you had to do some course or whatnot in Bangkok this week.

*and I do not want a dog before you ask.

Kind words Shutree, but I can take no credit for my puppys' looks. And anyway, all puppies are lovely. Remember, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, whatever that means.

I have always known the mother of our young puppies, if not the father, so have had some idea of how things would turn out. You have an exciting time coming up as you know neither parents. Those cute little girl puppies could end up big, small, long haired, short haired, long legged, stubby () legged, etc etc. Exciting times indeed.

But they are all beautiful in their own way.

A few years ago my wife said I was mad taking on this little guy... who she called the ugliest of the litter. But no-one else wanted him. Back then he looked a bit like Reg Dingle... but with hair.

The ugly duckling turned into a swan!

Ok, so Yogi may not be conventionally handsome, like my good self... but he gets all the girls, unlike my good self.

He's turned out just fine and is beautiful to us.

From what I can tell mate, it looks like this place is somewhere near 'Khela' BTS station if that makes any sense, but I'm a country boy and don't get involved with stuff like that.

I'm a bit pissed off to be honest. The plan was to do this course Monday and then put in my daughter's passport renewal paperwork at Trendy on Tuesday and then fly out to Norway for work Wednesday or even Thursday night.

I can still do the course (have to), Trendy have no available appointments next week and because of bloody Brexit the work in Norway has fallen through. What did have a solid 9 out of 10 passport renewal trip rating has dropped to nothing. I'll probably head back up the hill on Monday night... I'm busy at home in Korat just now.

    ^ I certainly will.

I'll be back down again late Feb for a proper passport renewal trip.

Edit: Genuine as well... before the smutty innuendos start.

Missy Neighbour's freshly laundered pyjamas must smell nice to distract a pup from its morning Mendy-bone!

^ And check out the feet... a perfectly pedicured five toes on each.

    The stuff of dreams.

Sadly Looper, there is no way to get a puppy to Aussie for you. I looked into that years ago and I reckon the only way would be via a six month quarantine in Singapore or somewhere.

But you've got the money... and the space... how about it?

Baby Yogi looked like E.T.! Strange how his face wrinkles have straightened out, now that he's older.

She has got very elegant toes.

I would not say no to a sneaky sniff round those ankles myself.

Aussie quarantine are like the gestapo. You will not get a shred of organic material past them. I got caught with an accidental apple in my suitcase on my most recent trip.

Is that an euphemism for a girl?

^ I was thinking it was a euphemism for one of those vibrating egg thingies up the jacksie?

But I can't see why Looper would need that.

When I lived in Canberra in 2008 my GF's name was Apple.

    She came from Luzon.

    Her name really was Apple.

Here sisters were named after other fruits.

Is this a common thing in the fair Fils Katie?

By strange coincidence I have spent the last week trying to organise my porn movie clip download collection, aggregated over about 10 years, into a linnaean hierarchical taxonomy; so I am familiar with these items from my /japanese/vibrator/ section.

I have only seen them in Japanese ladies bottoms so I cannot comment.

^ Sometimes a 'no comment' speaks reams...

But hang on, ain't this Anna's dog thread?

We need to get back on track.

    Speaking of vibrating eggs...

^I love the earnest expression on his face and the raised fore-paw draped over the cocked hind-leg, as if to say

'check it out boss, I don't care about the question marks over my good looks, I've still got it goin on, yeah'

Does she know you have a foot fetish? Going back on Monday night? Things are getting serious if you are giving up a passport renewal evening.

@looper - naming kids after fruits is not too common in PH. However, it is done. It's also more prevalent for female babies than males. I think it was more common around 30 to 50 years ago (so the ppl would be millenials & Gen X). Not common among Gen Z (born 1999 onwards).

Sometimes parents here would name their kids after fruits, or names would all begin with the same letter (Maria, Monette, Manuel, etc). I know siblings who are named after colors - Blue, Pink, Orange. They usually have 2 names, e.g. Blue Matthew, Orange Lou, Pink Camille, etc.

I've met 2 ladies named Apple. There's a former model named Apples Aberin. I've met a Strawberry & a Peaches.

I've met a guy named Chico, but it was his nicknane. Chico is the local name for the sapodilla fruit (Manilkara zapota, thanks to Google).

I fear that this thread is in danger of going off topic again, so let's have a recap.

There are still three puppies needing a home, and here's the boy with his mum and dad this morning at breakfast time. The dad's taken to turning up now as well... he was a bit of an absent father beforehand but I guess a free meal every day has changed that.

I've now crossed off Shutree, Looper and Bogon from my spreadsheet for various reasons and think that I can probably cross off anyone from the Antipodes due to such strict animal importation rules.

But that still leaves a lot of members?

Like my daughter, the two sisters didn't want to get out of bed for breakfast today due to the cold. It seems that little Joe (the one who had a car accident) has been given a doggy jacket but poor little Katie hasn't got one.

    Don't they look cute!

^I also can't take a pup. No pets allowed in my apartment block. Soweee...

That Katie-dog is made of stern stuff. She can handle the cold better than her namesake. (heh)

The puppies' dad is a handsome dawg (but an absentee father). Only there for the free meal. Heh.
