Speaking of feeding strays and possible AWOL's, the pack of 5 poor Dogs (as my girl refers to them) she feeds regularly have dropped to 2 in the last week and she's worried about what's happened. I'm not going to offer any suggestions on that but she insisted we stop on the way shopping this morning to feed them and see if the others had returned.

^ Good man. Better not to dwell on disappearances.

That one on the right looks just like Yogi!

Last time I called in to say hello to Mendy we walked down to have a look at these pups and while we were there "the girl" came out to see what the mum dog was barking at (me) and I was suddenly made aware that there might be some method to Mendy's madness as she was very easy on the eye, the girl that is.

I might have to start calling him randy Andy rather than Mendy the dog feeder, when's your next trip to Bangkok planned mate?
The solution to your problem might be closer to home than you realise.

^ I'd love to entertain this nonsense but I haven't got time... I have to pop up the road to give the puppies their breakfast.

^ Either that or 'Tax Stuff' or 'Bills'. They both seem pretty safe from prying eyes... I would imagine!

The girl wasn't around today, but of course the reason I go is to feed the family and get the mum dog tame so we can get her to the vet for speying. In many ways I suppose it's better if the girl isn't around so that the mum can learn to trust me.

    It wasn't a wasted trip...

You can't beat a scratch under the chin! He just looked up at me with love in his eyes.

The mum wasn't too sure about the second lamb shank bone. I think with her hard life she'll probably be unused to proper bones, let alone a lamb bone.

The puppies showed no such hesitance. Their tails were wagging so hard they went blurred on the picture. If we didn't have six dogs already I'd love to give one of these guys a home.

Check out the chassis on Missy Neighbour...

    Woof woof!

    :wagstail:

I bet you are taking the dogs a bone every morning... A West Country bone!

I think when a lady lets you see the slightly dirty soles on her feet while wearing her pyjamas outside she is sending a subliminal message

Now you guys mention it, she is quite tidy. I hadn't noticed before.

And a dog lover to boot!

It may be time to hang up my binoculars!

How do you think Anna might react to having a pup to take care of?

I think that Anna would be the main problem, Topper.

I couldn't take in another boy with our fractious pack... the boys wouldn't take another mature male. It would be no problem for the girl members.

A girl puppy would be fine for the boys. To be honest Yogi would start grooming her from day one and then defile her on the first day of her first season. Maya could be a problem for another girl unless she was very submissive, but Anna wouldn't want another threat to knock her further down the pecking order.

It could be done of course, but would take time and would be hard work. This is the start of the offshore season in Norway for me and I'll have limited time.

You wouldn't think it of Anna... what a beautiful girl. Butter wouldn't melt in her mouth...

I'm running out of time to get the puppies homed. While we delivered some breakfast today the dad turned up. He's a handsome chap!

Never seen such a desperate pack of dogs. Like you've never seen a woman. I'm cringing.

^ There's a man who gets out of his house every day.

So would you like the pair or not, Armstrong?

Indeed. Heart of gold, deeply religious, and always thinking about how she can help the less fortunate including poor Dogs.

It's taken 3 years to finally get Yogi to sit for his morning treat. I don't know if he's not too bright or just very stubborn.

Anna's smart. She doesn't join in with the others in the morning, they seem to overwhelm her and she gets her morning treat while lounging on her chair.

But every evening she sneaks into the kitchen and knows that a treat will come her way when she sits down.
