^ It was a great shame Shutree. In my experience Thailand has a way of biting you one way or another.

Maya's season continues and it became too difficult to keep an eye on her and now she's segregated. She has Coco to play with but even so is very unhappy about things.

I'm starting to think that she's not a smart as I first thought. She got her head stuck in this gate three times last night and I nearly decapitated her when I tried to open it without noticing.

Tommy and Yogi are constantly vying for her attention.

My main worry though is that the gardener opens the gate without noticing she has her head stuck... he's as blind as a bat.

The whole pack's a bit out of sorts while Maya's in season. And a big apology to our neighbours for the night-time howling... it won't last long!

Night time howling? Hahaha. They must love you!

place some chicken wire on each side of the gate so she can’t stick her head through it.

Why do they howl, Mendip? And which ones howl?

Is it the males howling to say they want to get their leg over?

Or is it the females saying, "Come and get me boys, I'm ready!"?

Probably the same as with cats...the female doesn't need to 'say' that - it's carried miles around by her scent.

Yeah, Yogi's the howler... I think he's very highly sexually charged but mind you... maybe he's just a chip off the old block?

Maya is no slouch though and spends a lot of time with her head stuck through the gate trying to get to the boys, but mainly Yogi.

Yogi just seems to have something... I've certainly never had a girl get her head stuck through a gate trying to spend time with me.

My female Dolly when in heat, she is very protective herself against her brother DoDo, also against her 3yo son Boggie (for him not so fierce).

Although they never fight among themselves, that time she is very fierce on her men. And I always rather separate them somehow, partly chain, etc., to avoid hearing her angry snarl for one week.

However, whenever she manage to escape outside the gate she open to the first dog in the soi. Is it so usual with other females?

    ^ Speaking of Yogi...

He currently spends his days whispering sweet nothings into Maya's ear as she sits with her head stuck through the gate.

I don't know what he's saying but he seems pretty pleased with himself.

Maya is very out of sorts during her season and she even had a scrap with Coco this morning... their fist ever.

I can forgive her the occasional transgression, although the wife wasn't quite as gracious.

And this is where I have a problem with Thais... I mean, it was the wife who brought Maya into the home and it was the wife who left her shoes outside last night... and yet somehow this seems to be my fault.

I said that surely she could hop down to the market?

Yeah... well... that didn't go down well.

No sense of humour at all.

Maya's season continues unabated and it's driving Yogi to distraction. He stands at the gate drying day and night.

I can't help feeling that Maya is enjoying the attention.

Luckily we have extra bars at the bottom of the gate.

Yogi's frustration is palpable and having been married for 15 years I can sympathise somewhat.

Last night he reached the 'trying to shag through the gate stage'.

And I have no idea what he was planning here!

At this point I locked Maya in the pool area for a bit so we could get some peace and quiet... and what disaster that proved to be.

I'd forgotten that the radiated rat snake skin was curing by the pool and Maya chewed off the last foot.

I guess luckily she took the holiest end which wouldn't have been very useful for the belt... and I still have around 6 foot left. All the nails were accounted for as well, thankfully.

Not really sure what to say about the last 4 dog pics there Mendy. I guess the last one of Yogi pretty much covers it.........

Mendip are you British? I know we speak a different form of English than the Brits. In American English, that last pic of Yogi is "blow job". Yogi wants a "blow job".

I've seen this before on Reddit, it's just a tease. Maya is looking for people to join her OnlyFans.

Tony looks like a handsome boy but judging by the scars around his face he's a bit of a scrapper?

Maya will doubtless welcome any advances from Tony but he'll have to go through Yogi first.

The glint in her eye tells everything...

This was two nights ago and Yogi went to distraction. If he could dig through concrete he would have!

I've kept Maya inside the last couple of nights to spare the neighbours from Yogi and Tommy's howling. Tonight things have calmed down a bit so I separated the boys and took her down to the pond while I sat with my daughter with a Leo. I just love the ridge down her back.

Maya's season seems to be ending and I think her appointment with the vet will be the end of the week. It'll be a real relief to all to have the pack integrated again as they've all been out of sorts and squabbling during her season. These pheromones are powerful things and even the wife and I have been a bit un-harmonious lately, but I can't really blame the last 15 years on Maya's season.

I'll give our neighbours a big bag of fresh eggs each once this is over, by way of apology... apart from our immediate dog-poisoning wankers of neighbours who will continue to receive our centipedes and scorpions over the wall.

Yes that glint in her eye, what a tease. Tonys face looks a little rough because he grew up in the shadow of his uncle Ted. No matter how much we domesticate them dogs still have their own rules.

I thought we were bad with four dogs, LOL
Funny you would say about their howling at night. Our last dog in the US was a Beagle, his name was Howler for obvious reasons, LOL. We had him from a baby. Lovely dog but dumb as a rock.
My wife loves Golden retrievers , our neighbor in NY had two and they spend more time at our house than they did in theirs. If any of our dogs passes away , we are definitely getting a golden retriever.
Though I have not participated much, I enjoy reading your thread.
Thank you for taking the time to share.

^ Thanks BB... it gives me something to do, and hopefully people will see what good pets these 'street dogs' can make if given a chance.

We sat in the sala this afternoon due to heavy rain and the dogs of course joined us, apart from poor Maya who is still segregated. They may not be the best behaved dogs in the world but that is my fault, not theirs.

    They adore my daughter.

She watched her phone surrounded by body guards. Yogi may be a strange dog at times but I'm quite convinced he would put his life on the line if ever we had an intruder.

All of our dogs are, and have always been rescue dogs, and you are right they make great companions.
With so many dogs needing a home it's a crime IMO to go buying a dog from a breeder.
This picture is a couple of years old now , but the only one I can fid right now with all four in it.
