Yes Looper, Lola is a lot smaller and slighter than her sister which does seem strange as both her and her sister eat well. She was sick and nearly died a couple of weeks before we took her in and that seemed to knock her growth a bit - before that all the pups were similar size.
Maybe she's just a smaller dog? Lola's dad (in that pic) must be 50% heavier than our Tommy and they are brothers.
I walked up the road this afternoon with Lola and the daughter to get a cold drink at Pajama Girl's shop.
I had an iced coffee while the daughter had some revolting looking concoction that involved putting Oreos and milk in a food blender.
This all gave me a chance to play with PJG's new toy.
You press the white button and then prod your target. When I prodded the ground there was a crackling noise and a few sparks.
I tested it out on an ant but felt a bit guilty afterwards as it just shriveled up and died, although I'm not sure if it was the electric shock that did the damage or if I just squashed it.
Look out hammer killer's pit bull, next time you come attack Lola's family!

1489 Baht mate, and all the way from China. We're not messing around.
PJG is very unhappy and has installed CCTV and says that next time the pit bull comes around and attacks Lola's family, she is going straight to the police. They won't do anything of course unless 'encouraged' and I'm more than happy to help.
While idling away some unexpected relaxing time I felt that I was being watched... these guys just want me to get on with frying up the sausages. Anna is coming into heat so Tommy and Yogi are keeping a close watch. But also Maya was involved... and something didn't look right. There was some kind of an impasse...
Anna will not provoke the dominant Maya and Maya will no longer attack Anna... maybe due to a softening of attitude but more likely because Maya knows she'll get a real bollocking.
I went to investigate as they all looked awkward.
Maya's foot was on Anna's tail and neither dared to move...
I take this as a positive in the pack dynamics. They will v]never be good friends but so long as they stop fighting I'm happy.

I hate to speak ill of Thai's but a Thai, especially a typical Somchai, and a Pit bull are possibly one of the worst dog/ owner combinations you can get. Glad to see you have got some sort of defense but I would prefer a shogun when dealing with a improperly owned/ trained Pit
One should listen twice as much as one speaks
^ Ta very much Topper
Lola meets her other family every morning on the way to school. They are all healthy and the pit bull has stayed away... I think that PJG let it be known she has the cattle prod and the hammer killer is making an effort to keep his dog contained. I wonder if dogs can sense or smell electricity? Whenever I've taken the prod out, Lola's remaining father immediately disappears. Maybe he can hear the hum?
The daughter had something on at school today and was allowed to wear jeans... she looks so grown up. I wish she could have stayed little.
A little later and Lola with the boys. She innocently thinks they just enjoy her company but she has a shock coming in a few weeks...
Maya and Anna were together, amazingly enough. There's been no fights for some time and it even looks as though Maya is trying to make friends, but Anna's having none of it.
Anna does enjoy spending time with Tommy and Yogi, our two 'intact' boys. They seem very comfortable in each other's company.
Lola with Maya. Lola has made friends with each member of the pack individually and can be found with any one of them, mooching about the garden. She really has been so easy to integrate with the others.
And Anna relaxing. Despite the heat, a dog will always find a patch of sun. I don't know if Anna does this deliberately but lying here completely blocks off the doorway for the others and they have to go round the long way to sit under the fan. I have a feeling she knows exactly what she's doing... and it's good stuff I reckon. This means that she's growing in confidence and finally relaxing around the others.
Edit: whoops, I forgot the photo.

^ nice
^ I've added the photo I forgot now. Anna really does look lovely now that her fur has grown back.
Everybody loves nail clipping day!
Anna's nails grow fast these days, I guess because she doesn't get a lot of exercise to wear them down.
Yogi loves to watch although strangely he would probably take my hand off if I tried to clip his nails. Luckily his don't seem to grow.
Even though Anna has let herself go a bit, Yogi still won't let Tommy anywhere near. He seems to have a special bond with Anna.
Aaawww... despite her brutal start to life, Anna is our gentlest dog and clipping nails, vaccinations, dressing up, anything at all in fact is never a problem. What a wonderful dog!
