What are you really trying to say here are you insinuating that if she took me to the hospital then she has taken an animal to the Vet?

Just I’d be worried if I were you with that kind of philosophy to animal healthcare…

My wife had Bruno neutered and if anything he turned more territorial and has grown huge but not fat.

My mates call him Cujo and think he is mental.

One mate has 2 pitbulls and won't come anywhere near Bruno.

^ Both of our neutered males put on weight and became difficult and grumpy. It sometimes makes me wonder if the wife got me neutered one night after I'd had a few Ya Dongs.

Talking of the wife, she sadly left us yesterday to go 'up country' to spend New Year with some other branch of the family. I guess I should feel a bit hard done by, spending New Year alone with my daughter... but I don't. And there's the added bonus that with my wife, any chance of a surprise New Year visit from any of the outlaws also disappeared.

I was up very early this morning but later heard some whimpering so went to investigate. Anna's smart, she'd also realised the Trouble's not at home and had decided to sneak in to come upstairs to say hello! I must have left the back door unlatched when I opened up the house a couple of hours earlier.

My heart wasn't in it but I had to tell her off, and while I was doing so Maya emerged from the daughter's bedroom to say good morning. Yeah, Maya's smart as well and had also sneaked in even earlier than Anna, who soon departed... she knows only too well how jealous Maya can get.

I often wonder at how finely balanced the household dynamics is. One absentee brings about a more relaxed and playful feel to the place.

    Happy New Year, everyone!

^^ Nice pic mate. It reminds me of a girlfriend many years ago who used to 'womanscape' her nether regions every Valentine's Day into a heart shape. Like an inverse of what you've done to your dog.

Anyway, you've reminded me... with the Trouble away I decided to make some headway with my future 'Mia Noi'. We have three neighbours down our cul-de-sac; the dog killers, the old woman who dumps plastic crap outside our house and the family with my future intended.

I thought I'd get my special friend's family a NY present with the hope of some socialising, but of course had to do the same for all our neighbours or it would have looked odd. So, 750 odd Baht for these silly boxes of chicken soup, x3... I delivered them today hoping for a chat with my target... but she wasn't even there. I gave her dad the chicken soup and he just gave me a weird look. I ended up trapped at the old woman's house for half an hour while she gabbled on about something or other.

FFS... over 2000 Baht and not even a New Year's sighting.

^^ I have no idea. Don't all these NY present baskets of little red and green jars contain chicken soup?

I used to be quite partial to a Brands chicken soup to put all the nutrients back inside after a sesh. That and fresh coconut water.

The red jars are birds nest I think and pretty damn awful

    ^ I am as well.

The daughter tells me we gave the neighbourhood jars of red stuff, so according to Reg Dingle it was bird's nest soup.

I hope they enjoy it. I don't think I'm any closer to securing my Mia Noi arrangement though.

Have you considered the neighborhood mia noi thing might not be the best thing to happen?

^ To be honest Topper, in the cold light of day I would probably concede that having a Mia Noi living opposite with her parents and siblings, and without my wife's agreement, isn't probably the best arrangement to pin one's happiness on. It may not even be in her aspirations.

But after a couple of Leos with Red Label chasers, with the wife away, it seems like the best idea in the world!

However, I don't think she is even aware of my intentions.

But anyway, this has gone way off topic. This thread was never intended to be about my slight lack of a 'personal' life, even if that was the case. It's been a year now since Anna joined us, mainly due to her terror of New Year fireworks. The bloody fireworks are going off again tonight and Anna, being scared shitless, had snuck into the house for some shelter.

I found her curled up on one of the wife's rugs in the kitchen. The wife has always kept a nice rug, I seem to remember.

Wasn't she the girl who Mendy gave a few dogs to...and looked like she had a thriving business, just over the border there

FFS, where's the modulation on this forum?

Helge, Reg Dingle, you should both be thoroughly ashamed of yourselves. Both parents as well.
