Had to Google "twinkle toes". Three things came up:
1. Someone who is a good dancer or moves lightly on their feet
2. An effeminate homosexual male; a fairy
3. It's a brand of colourful sneakers/ rubber shoes for little girls
So which was the one that you referred to re: Armstrong?
******
Also had to Google who that Trent guy was - so he's a Liverpool player...
Perhaps Edmond was being a tad sarcastic, in which case Armstrong:
1. Has all the grace of a roofied elephant
2. Painted toe-nails...
3. We've seen his footy boots.
2. An effeminate homosexual male; a fairy
we have a winner!
You sparked my curiosity... 33k Sterling a year! Even my daughter's school isn't that expensive... yet... although they have all the tricks in the book to gouge extra out of the weary parents. The uniforms certainly ain't cheap.
I must admit that after the cost of her education I'll be a little disappointed if the daughter ends up doing nothing better with her life than hitting balls about.
I'm looking forward to that, the Napoleonic wars are an interest of mine. This Wackeen Felix guy will have to be good to better Rod Steiger's Napoleon.
Thank you Katie, ever the voice of reason... but I can combine the two!
I have discovered that you measure the height of dogs in the same way as horses... to their withers, which is the ridge between the shoulder blades as modelled by Anna.
I wouldn't have thought you measure dogs in 'hands' though. Maybe fingers? Although that sounds a bit rude.
It was a moot point though as Anna doesn't like to stand for more than a few moments these days so I didn't get a measurement. She's become very relaxed lately.
But the girl of the hour... it's very difficult to get a decent picture of Moodeng when I visit because she wriggles and squirms with pleasure so much. It's nice to be appreciated!
Cyrille, I notice that you have been using the more proper 'Moodaeng' spelling. I used to make the extra effort until I saw that she'd been called 'Moodeng' on the Xrays at the vet, so I thought sod it and now stick with the easier spelling.
But the big news... this morning PJG sent me a picture. Moodeng stood up again today! I guess this is both good news and bad news... good, or even great, because it suggests that the leg and pelvis are healing well, but bad because she needs to stay still for a few more weeks yet for that left femur to fuse properly.
Not the best of photos unfortunately... but her body position suggests to me that she's putting weight on that left, aft leg which is very positive indeed.
Her next vet appointment and Xray is on Friday. Fingers crossed that more calcium has built up around that broken femur.
^ Don't normally allow cats on this thread but Murphy can be the exception. He looks pretty cool!![]()

^ She may even get some of the good stuff, PAG. I'll dig the Cathedral City out of the freezer!
Change of cast and Xray tomorrow... fingers crossed for that broken femur.
What an awesome little dog
Go moodeng.
Great news about Moodeng. Go Moodeng! It seems like she'll have a semi-normal life. Lots of dogs live well even if they only have 3 functional legs.

Cute cat, spliff! Looks very affectionate.
The wonder of cheese!
Moodeng went to the vet this morning and had an X-ray... and the calcium around the two broken ends of the femur has built up nicely over the past week or so... and is now at around 80% according to the vet.
Moodeng now seems to be called 'Moodang'. Today's Xray...
I think it's worth showing her last two X-rays again for comparison...
The vet was so pleased that he decided not to replace the cast, so we will soon see how much she can use this leg. Although of course however strong the leg will be, we are prepared for a slow start as it'll take a while for Moodeng to learn how to walk and use her muscles again. The muscles will be very weakened from lack of use over the past few weeks.
I told PJG that I'd pop up later to get a nice video of her walking around.
I may take a video of Moodeng as well!
Big smile just came across my face. Sometimes little miracles are just what the doctor ordered. Well done Mendy and PJG. Like the line from the old western Little Big Man, "It made my heart soar like a hawk".![]()
Great result, though particularly with no longer wearing a cast, she still needs to be restricted in her movement and interface/playing with other dogs until the break has completely healed.
Excellent news. You may need to work with PJG to demonstrate the types of physiotherapy daeng will require. Have a wax first.![]()
^ Many women aren't averse to some body hair... as I've explained before, it's an indicator of a healthy testosterone level.
^^ PAG, Moodeng will be a house dog for the foreseeable future and separate from all other dogs. She hasn't been introduced to PJG's small outside pack yet and that is some way off. Now that Moodeng will hopefully become mobile, the first step will be to house train her. PJG also has a fully enclosed back garden so along with the shop, that will most likely become Moodeng's home.
^^^ Thanks AO, but it's been all Pajama Girls doing, and hard work too. I just supply the cheese!
I popped up to see Moodeng today once she was back from the vet.
Last night I cooked roast beef, and absolutely fukk knows what cut of beef it was, but it certainly wasn't a roasting joint. It was like leather and it was a struggle to get the carving knife through the damn thing, but our loss was, of course, Moodeng's gain. Also a gain for my seven as well.
When I arrived, PJG informed me that when she had popped out to the back of the shop for a few moments, Moodeng had moved from her usual small enclosure to the opposite side of the shop. She looked well pleased with herself as well.
Moodeng had just been given a few pieces of liver and wasn't interested in my offering of roast beef.
I stayed a while and as I was chatting outside the shop, there was a noise and Moodeng was off again. I just caught the end of her transit across the shop before she flopped down again. The left leg didn't look like much use just yet and was dragging, but then she hasn't even bent her knee for over a month so this was no surprise. The leg will be completely stiff.
Moodeng has a bit of a rash on her left leg where urine had got inside the cast, but I'm pretty sure that with some cream, this will clear up in the next few days. I've seen a few rashes in my time and this one doesn't look too bad at all. Moodeng looked so chuffed with herself after walking, it was lovely to see.
I think that Moodeng is in very good hands with Pajama Girl who will provide supervision while the leg heals.
Next time the wife goes out I may sneak her back home and get her into the pool for some water phsyio...
And maybe Moodeng could come too!
I’m surprised you can see a rash through all the hair…
^ I can assure you that, from the limited glimpses I have been afforded of PJG's lower calves, they are not overly hirsute.
