Yeah, she'll be getting plenty of liver as well. We'll do what we can but ultimately these things are in the lap of the gods.

I wonder about skeletal development in soi dogs, do their mothers get enough vitamins, iron and calcium for the weaning.
^ I guess that's purely down to human help. If none, despite the mother's best efforts I would think that whole litters will just perish.
I went up to see PJG today and took along some more cheese for Moodeng. After a hesitant start she now knows what cheese is all about and loves the stuff. She doesn't get my good stuff but Makro cheddar will suffice... I want to get all the calcium I can into her to get that bone to fuse.
It's all about that aft, port side leg.
Aaawww... a piece of pork to go with the cheese... little Moodeng was obviously confused by so many choices.

Please mr Mendip. some of us are eagerly awaiting the further adventures of pajama girl and moo dang.
What the hell is going on ?
^ I have to go to the hospital for some rehabilitation this morning but I'll pay them a visit and take her a treat on the way back.
Maybe Moodeng will get something as well!
I'll report back.
Maybe
well........................at least you know how to build suspense.
^ Whoops, I will report back, and thanks for your interest. That last 'maybe' wasn't meant to be there... the trouble when editing stuff when using a phone on this site.
Lola still visits her old family most mornings when the daughter goes to school. My hope is that in a few weeks, little Moodeng will have joined PJG's small pack and will become part of this morning ritual.
Yeah, and that's me in my gym kit at 06:30 hrs... not bad for a 'bloated flouncer' hey Reg!(And if you think you're ever gonna get that Green I owe you then think again).
This was the exact same position that did my back in a couple of weeks ago.
Or this... to give Lola's mum a scratch behind her ears. Every time I bend over I wonder if it will happen again and that my next position will be horizontal on the ground.
It's a lot easier when Lola's sister comes up to meet me for a ruffle.
And another manoeuvre that I soon came to regret. Getting from this position back to the vertical certainly wasn't easy.
Tao will have to work some magic on my last physio session today.
^Good to see you up and about, Mendip! Walking that early, kudos to you. I hate mornings! lol
The dogs looks chipper and happy to be walking with daddy. Haha, don't overdo it with exercise. I highly recommend chiropractic and massage. Chiro has saved me so many times. Yoga and stretching I highly recommend. Keeps your spine limber and flexible. I hope your daughter is enjoying her new school year.![]()
^ Mate, 'shaggers back' it wasn't. I'm no doctor but I know that much.
I am feeling better thanks and today finished my rehab sessions with Tao... and was awarded with a back brace which finally arrived. I don't want this thread to turn into yet another fitness thread so will update the other one in due course.
Thanks Marilyn, I'm always up and about from around 5:30 due to the early school start. My first walk is just up the road to see the daughter off and then have been getting into the habit of 6km on the treadmill, brisk walk over an hour for now until the back feels better, followed by a swim... glorious it is, praise the Lord, etc etc.
And yes, the daughter seems to be getting on fine in Secondary thanks... although she'll never be a kid who really enjoys school, as wasn't I.
After my last session with Tao I popped in to see Moodeng and had remembered to bring along some cheese.
Moodeng absolutely loves the stuff and she had never tasted it a week ago. This is great as we need to get extra calcium into her to promote the fusion of that broken left femur.
This is the cheap Makro stuff... I reckon she'd take my hand off for a chunk of Cathedral City.
You want suspense Moose?
Moodeng's next vet appointment is on October 1st when an Xray should show whether her broken left femur is fusing... if not, sadly it will probably be a one way trip for her left leg. The vet says that it's much better to remove the leg if it does not heal, rather than having it dragging for the rest of her time, and I trust this vet. Dogs can have a perfectly happy life on three legs when given a loving home and they adapt to such hardships remarkably quickly. But fingers crossed of course that she keeps the full compliment of limbs.
As I was typing this I just had a Line message to say that Moodeng's cast on her right side of the pelvis has slipped off so she's currently off for an impromptu vet visit to replace it. Maybe she will also get an interim Xray, we shall see. This is the problem now... trying to keep her immobilised when she feels better and wants to move around.
This ain't gonna be easy.

I knew it couldn't possibly be shaggers back mate. I felt sorry for you and was trying to put a positive spin on it because the fat shamers were loving it. I've just fucked my back to doing a cashie for an Indian geezer who neglected to tell me the fridge he wanted moved was double its weight due to the tight coont leaving his chappatis in it . But I tell anyone that asks. It's shaggers back
@mendy - your gym outfit is colour coordinated, so props to you for that! Re: exercises, if you don't fancy yoga, then you may want to try pilates. There are some YT vids if you'll search.
Re: your health & wellness journey, have you done the "ultimate male package" already? Or did you like the executive package instead?
Re: moodeng, I hope she's healing well. She has very nice eyes.
^ You mean some people wear gym stuff that isn't colour coordinated Katie? The shame of it.
I decided that I'm more of an 'ultimate' than 'executive' male and will book something up once I get the insurance claim for my back sorted out. This will probably be after my next offshore work so six weeks of clean living will hopefully yield some good test results.
Moodeng does have lovely sorrowful eyes, and I still think that a name reflecting that would have been good.
Yesterday she did have another Xray and there is now a suggestion of a build-up of calcium around the break in the femur. This is very positive news and a sign that the bone may fuse. The strength of the leg and how much use it will be remains to be seen and only time will tell. I think there is still a good chance that she may lose it yet.
I've taken to two daily dog walks... one with the three girls (plus Anna) and one with the three boys (plus Anna). This is more for the dogs' discipline than exercise as they run around the garden all day. Anna gets two walks as she doesn't need a lead - her five years on the street made her street smart and she can safely cross roads and avoid traffic.
I'm trying to introduce my pack to PJG's pack as this will make visits and walks a lot easier but so far my boys get on well with her girls and her boy gets along with my girls. Sadly my girls and her girls (apart from Lola) will fight and my boys will set upon her one boy, Lola's dad and Tommy's brother. It ain't easy but slowly does it.
Today Anna was quite happy in Tem's company. Most likely Tem (Lola's dad) remembers Anna from her time on the street and it would be quite likely that they have been carnal together in the past. Anna was quite a girl in her day.

Keep that cheese heading moodaeng's way.

Moodeng’s treats remind me of this…
^ Good stuff HNZ! I noticed that one dog was given a piece of brie... I have some spare brie just now since I gave up on the chicken breast in bacon and brie sauce dish... so tomorrow Moodeng will have a new experience. In fact, if I don't get to Makro this weekend she'll soon be started on my Red Leicester and cave matured Cheddar so I hope I manage to get shopping.
I don't know why, but Yogi never gets such compliments.
I popped up to see Moodeng today on a cheese run and she is becoming more and more animated each time I arrive. She squirms and wags her little tail like nobody's business... which is both good and bad. It's great to see her so happy and positive but the more she tries to move, the more frustrated she will become by her leg immobilised in a cast. This ain't gonna be easy.
But she loved her cheese. Next week she will start taking dog statins, but at least her leg has a chance!
I managed to get hold of a picture of Moodeng's Xray from yesterday. At first sight it doesn't seem so special...
But when compared to an Xray from 6 days previously, that gap is definitely being filled. The red arrows are my own, but hopefully help show where the calcium is starting to build up. There's a long way to go, but this is a positive sign.

That is a great improvement, I think she'll be OK. Fingers xd
^ Tofu... don't you think Moodeng has been through enough? Even if we had such stuff in the fridge.
There may be some Greek Style honey flavour yoghurt somewhere, although I can't see the daughter letting that go.
I'd better get to Makro...
Without wishing to state the obvious, milk? She's still only a pup
She's on regular bowls of milk but you have to be careful with stomach upsets and diarrhea... according to PJG this isn't so nice to clean up!
Hence the cheese.
I always thought you should never give dogs dairy products?
