I've then ended up keeping these puppies as it just doesn't seem fair to bring them home, clean them up, give them some hope and then dump them back homeless again. We now have four and that's enough and I don't want to get landed with more (and I don't think the wife would tolerate it!). With all due respect at the moment you to me are a name on an anonymous forum and I can't hold a puppy, but I do also want to home these puppies.
I've uploaded a picture of each into my puppy album just in case you or anyone else is genuinely interested. Amazingly there's 7 boys and 1 girl (from an original litter of 10). The girls are hardest to home as no-one wants puppies or wants to pay for neutering. Why do half starved street dogs have such large litters? Its an awful lot of dogs to find homes for.
These are a motley looking bunch but very calm and tame. I think they will make nice pets. Your 'cute' one is photo 'Boy7'. My young daughter helped me with the pictures after school today, but wasn't best pleased about it as can be seen by her expression in the photos!
All of these puppies are cute, but after six months the girls come into season, six weeks later have litters of 8 to 10, half of which are usually girls, all of which come into season six months later... and so forth, etc etc. The problem escalates so quickly and before you know it there's half starved and dead puppies everywhere. Very upsetting. I try and do what I can. Its not the dog's fault they were born.
