    Hotels Khorat

Coming back to LOS for the annual christmas visit.

Fancy heading up Khorat way for a few days to get away from the city.

Any decent hotels that people have stayed in? Looking at a few on Agoda, but far too many choices.

^ Breakfast, beer and buggery included.

Or try The Siri Hotel. Reasonably priced and fairly central.

You want to get away from the city to a city? I liked here www.sabaihotelkorat.com and it's easy to find.

Sima Thani Hotel, SW part of town near The Mall, and Dusit Princess, NE part of town, are both decent hotels.

Not a bad choice, but the restaurant was a disaster when I stayed there.

I use the Citypark hotel opposite The Mall 1200 baht/night including breakfast. Rooms are fine. The Thai breakfast food is usually very good. The attempt at western food for breakfast appears as it usually does at most Thai hotels so I have never tried it but it is available.

There's a few resorts around Pak Chong area. Bonanza is the only one I can remember off the top of my head though..

The CityPark not bad for what it is. Just bear in mind that the name may be a bit misleading. The 'park' it sits in the middle of is not a nice green thing with grass and trees: it's a car park.

As HAL points out the breakfast there is inedible, I did once try it.

Personally I prefer the Sima Thani but its been a while since I've stayed there.

I'm hoping MrsQ means somewhere outside of Korat rather than in the city, as he may as well stay in Bangkok.

I haven't been there for years.

Last time I was there it had elephants in the street, fucking huge ones.

I was planning on staying on the outskirts and going in to meet a mate and get away from it.

Fuck last time I was there I ate breakfast at the VA cafe I think where the vets used to hang out.

I want a pool, countryside and wifi and 30 minutes drive to the center if needs be.

The missus is taking her mum so I don't care what she does as long as the second room doesn't break the bank or she doesn' mind sleeping in the car. or a tent our back
