Thai roads are dangerous enough ( even for those that ride mountain bikes and live clean healthy lifestyles). After a heavy party weekend at a bike show your not going to be riding at your best and then throw Thai drivers into the mix and you have a recipe for disaster !!!
RIP Crazyswede

Yes driving/riding in Asia requires 100% attention, 100% of the time. That's why I like it here. No time to talk on mobile, text or even look at the passenger (car) when driving. Just drive/ride.
The moment one does not give 100% attention then...
Sad about the future young mother.
Better to think inside the pub, than outside the box?
I apologize if any offence was caused. unless it was intended.
You people, you think I know feck nothing; I tell you: I know feck all
Those who cannot change their mind, cannot change anything.
RIP Crazyswede.
I fell off three times, twice on the road, lack of attention.
I don't ride any more, except as clingon with a full face carbon helmet.

Most riders that have spent more than five minutes in the saddle understand that riding motorcycles comes with inherent risks, and I'm sure this guy knew that as well- it's a damned shame to hear about it regardless.
I hope that lack of proper gear on his part wasn't a contributing factor- if he had a head-on collision it probably wasn't.
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

I don't disagree. Specifically as it relates to bikes / riding bikes here I still miss it a lot, I've ridden most my life and love it.Originally Posted by Spin
Priorities change though and, for me personally, I couldn't really justify it any more once my kids were born. Hopefully I can get back into again one day soon, it will just be at a much more sedate pace.
R.I.P not a nice way to go.
Condolences to family and loved ones. RIP Crazyswede.
As a youth I used to go skiing with my pals, one of our group of friends refused to learn because he said it was dangerous. He never went and missed out on awesome experiences, Thats kind of the point I'm trying to make.Originally Posted by The_Ghost_Of_The_Moog
Not something I would regret, I thought about doing that already and decided against itOriginally Posted by The_Ghost_Of_The_Moog
Understand 100%. I don't and most likely never will have kids, In place of kids, I have toys.Originally Posted by AntRobertson
I'm not sure if it was a bike show, I thought it was more like a Harley group, 3 of it's Thai members were at the funeral.
It was a head-on collision, you can take this litterally.I hope that lack of proper gear on his part wasn't a contributing factor- if he had a head-on collision it probably wasn't.
This was posted on a local Surin Forum Bike Nights .

I'll ride in the US, but this is just another reason why I refuse to ride in Thailand. Very sad to read.
RIP, we've all got it coming sometime, we just don't know when. At least he died doing something he loved. Still it's a terrible blow for his familly and friends.
For the rest of us: stay alert.
Are you kidding.
He's dead.
The Childs whole life has been changed.
From a life of plenty, maybe grow up in Germany, at least be exposed to western concepts and values and a good education and therefor job and futere, have nice clothes and shoes.
To being a village boy.
Maybe I don't know, but the kids future just went from good to bad.
If you can't feel for that, well, i don't know what to say.

I thought Swedes were from, Sweden
The guy was retired so I doubt his baby would have been going to Europe for schooling anyway
Hopefully the guy had some good life insurance
As for not feeling sympathy for someone who's life has just come to an abrupt and horrific end, I dont see your logic
