Hello members, I will be driving from Pattaya to Khon Kaen at the end of August. I would greatly appreciate some useful directions. Also is there anywhere nice to stop to get something to eat and a rest on the way?
Thanks

I don't remember which route I went, but..
From Google
routes
- 572 km, 8 hours 8 minutter
Mittraphap Rd/Rute 2/AH12- 507 km, 8 hours 35 minutter
AH19 og Rute 2- 581 km, 8 hours 59 minutter
Rute 201
its one straight road. Mark Thatcher could find it.
corrupt police just before nakhon ratisima .
then speed checks from there
eat Thai? eat anywhere
331 from Pattaya onto the 304 to N. Ratchasima, you drive through a mountain road, some excellent steak houses to eat at here. Then bypass N. Rat, pick up highway 2 to KK, 5 to 8 hours depending on traffic and speed you drive at. (Google maps are as good as any)
You are kidding right! Where to eat in Thailand. BTW, it's NE.
I drove through Kabinburi.
Good route Tin can , I go that way to ,, although you might well need a change of underpants on the first bit of the road from Kabinbury up that poxy hill towards Korat.
When your at Korat mate don't know if you know but its worth a trip out to Nonthai to visit heaven + hell ,, just don't eat a cheese sandwich before you go to bed
I'm proud of my 38" waist , also proud I have never done drugs
Ok. I bite. What is heaven and hell and why no cheese sandwich before bed?Originally Posted by nigelandjan
Thank you to VocalNeal who gave me some useful directions via PM. Neal, I apparently cannot reply to your PM because I do not have 20 posts.

You can drag the blue line like I have to take you through Buriram, which takes a little while longer
The driving directions, distance and duration are on the left
Safe Journey
Not a very good video Sailing sorry thats all I could find , but it will give you a little idea what its about ,, its like a bad acid trip in there , you wouldn't wanna get locked in there at night !Originally Posted by Sailing into trouble
There is also one at Suparburi to I think , hold on ,
BTW eating a cheese sandwich before you go to bed is supposed to make you have bad dreams ,, didn't your Mum ever tell you that one ??
I think it was more to do with the economics of the day
Its worth a trip out there , its only about 4 kms off to the left of the KK end of the Korat bypass , its a bugger to find , a little sign in Thai on the left then a long way down a track , if you get to the Shell garage in Non Thai village you've gone too far
