    Carrefour Mall

Looks like the Mall like structure being built on the Bypass road in Korat will be a carrefour Mall with a Home Pro on the second floor. Should be open by October, November.

No he said "in". Never mind that. A more precise location would help. Thanks.

If you are driving in from BBk on Mittrapap Rd. (Hwy #2) you will see the bypass on your left about five or ten kms (not sure of the distance) before you hit The Mall Korat. The bypass runs for about thirty kms before hooking up with Mittrapap Rd. again on the Khon Kaen side of Korat.

    Hope this helps.

Carrefour in Khorat might do well at first, like the Udon branch, packed out for the first few weeks, when it opened, then tailing off to nothing.
The poxy exchange rate might have something to do with the empty shops.
Another Tesco now in the UD (empty) centre.

PP... St Mall, in Udon also devoid of paying customers.

Home Pro salesman just piss me off, just want to sell the junk they get commision on. Try buying the stuff YOU want, and listen to the crap they come out with.

Index have got a 70% sale on at the moment, the free orange juice has been stopped and the water feature inside has been turned off.
In the week the place looks like a ghostown.

Got a end of line recliner from Index last week for 8000 baht.

They got a Carefour in Chumphon.
It was way overstaffed, and not much biz. Seemed like more staff than customers.

Guess the guy at Home Pro was wrong, as the New structure on Bypass will be a Home Pro Mall opening the 31rst of this month.

One can just imagine the conversation at the management meetings.

Director from BKK: We are bleeding to death, to the tune of 10 Mill a Month.

Manager at Udon : You see we have a cunning plan to stem the loss, we will sack the tea lady, turn off the free orange juice and the water feature inside.

Director from BKK: Ok How much will that save?

Manager at Udon : Aaah about 20,000 Baht Per Month.

Director from BKK: Ok i will report back that you have reduced expenditure going forward to stop the losses (eventually)
Now lets celebrate by having a slap up meal in the best pub in town.
