Hello Sue....Don't dream about it .......do it! I just got home on Tuesday morning from ten glorious days in Thailand....... So if you have a passport...... you can fly today Air Asia via KL (worth a look and great for shopping on the way home) for total all up return of $759 pounds London/Bankok...... Get a taxi to Jomtien/Pattaya.... 40 minute trip (850 baht ..about 16 pounds) and you can currently stay right on the beach front, ground floor of a nice hotel with air-conditioned room, large swimming pool, for 16 pounds per night. Current temperature about 26-30 Deg. For a full English breakfast in a beach front cafe under the palm trees next to your hotel .... cost 100 baht (1 p0und 88 pence) Includes mug of tea, two eggs, bacon, sausage, tomato, baked beans, and two slices of perfectly cooked toast with English Marmalade!...... For Dinner hit the nightlife... 4 course dinner in a nice restuarant 5 pounds all up.....so pull the pin and book on line right now! That's what I do....The Dreamers are all still at work! Send them a post card!

Sorry to burst the bubble, but i think Sue might want to experience the real Thailand, not a cut price version of blighty with the central heating turned up.

From where I'm sitting it doesn't sound bad, definately getting colder brrr!
I know it's time to go when I'm scraping the ice off the car in the morning and I see more of the moon than is good for anyone.

Been busy at work, hence no time to scive ont'net. However, the boss is now off until next Weds and things have slowed down so I've had a busy morning browsing the Argos catalogue (thinking Xmas already) and cleaning out the coffee machine, so things are back to normal for the time being!

For Nedwalk, FuzzyBob and possibly Happyman, I will now type the word "pert" again, but will point out that it was used to describe my delicate little gob and not any other part of my anatomy, which would probably be described as "real" in today's language when talking about the modern female, although "generous, pendulous and built for comfort" have been used on more than one occasion.

    Pert. There y'go.

Nawty?, naughty naughty! and Bobcock, you'll have to wait til my Polaroid's come back from the repair shop.

Polaroids? Isn't that the condition that causes a Penguin to have a sore bottom from sitting on all that ice?

Roger, it sounds very idyllic right now, but chassamui is sort of right when he (she?) says that I dream of actually living in a warm climate, and "going native". I'd probably miss a lot of Brit things, but the cold and damp wouldn't be included on that list.

...and hello to you too, Rose.

    Sue.
