Hi. Just like to introduce myself.

I discovered this forum as I was searching for some info about construction in Thailand and I've been having a look at it over the past few weeks to see what it's like. It seems reasonable most of the time with a few nutters around on occasions.

I'm Aussie (sorry, Dirty Dog, you seem to have something against Aussies) but I'm also a pom, having "matured" there until I saw the light and went surfing.

Now living and working in Ubon - nice place but a long way from the beach!

buadhai - thanks. I'm not building a home as I don't think I could deal with Thai builders after what I've seen of them and the work they do. I've just bought a place and I've got a bit of fencing and some kitchen benches to do

Well, shame on me!!

A couple of rules sunshine, so you don't get off on the wrong foot...

1) Aussies are restricted to posting only where they have, preferrably expertese, but we will accept any prior knowledge.
This will limit you to only posting about beer and sport. I'm sure you're quite happy about that.
2) When referring to the 'weaker' sex please refrain from using the more recent descriptive phrases such as 'resident of the vegemite valley, 'poo tube plumber' etc in place of the typical ozzy 'flamin'poof'.
3) Remember who the enemy is! That's right it's kiwis, seppos, chermans and the welsh.
