    Hi Garro,

So you made it here................. and you thought that was a good idea?

Glad to see the book is going well, followed your thread in General and your thought provoking one in Health,

keep your guard up and lead with the right, it can get messy.

Vanity publishing can be a little deluding.

Most " writers " fall into 2 camps: those who scribble autobiographically ( most first novels ) or those who don't. For many the first is the last and no shame there.

Are you working on other stuff?

Anyway, that aside welcome. This place can be surprising although smoking behind the bike sheds and prurient sex figures a little too large.

Hi westerby, my book wasn't released through the vanity press nor was it self-published. It is auto-biographical though. It's a lot easier to get published in Thailand than other places and this means that it is a mixed-bag of stuff here.

My book originated from a blog. I published it on a few websites and got a lot of positive feedback. I even got messages from published writers and editors saying that I should try to get it published.

Most importantly it seemed to help some people who told me that they decided to go to the temple, to get help for their addiction, after reading my blog. It is my hope that the book will have the same affect. If one person decides to seek help and recovers from addiction because of the book then I will view it as a major success.

I know that the book could have been better written, but I could only use the skills I had available to me at the time. The one thing about it though is that it's 100% honest and I'm proud of it.

I have finished the first draft of two other books but have no idea if/when they will ever get to print. One is a fictional piece, which I like, and hope to be ready next year.
