Banned? Oh ye of little faith.
I may have skirted the edges of banned-dom on occasions but my credit is still good there.
Actually TV isn't my forum of choice, I have nearly twice as many posts on Thai360. (Not as sceadugenga though).
I came here to see how Jet was going I suppose.

I wouldn't recognise a privilege if it bit me on the arse Jet. I'll go into training now for this test of manhood that lays before me.

Thanks stroller, I keep meaning to have a drive over to Nan but my Mrs counters with "for what?"
Sounds like nice country to me though.

Yes, a nice part of Thailnad, and I haven't explored the Northern part of it yet, which is the more famous one. https://teakdoor.com/thailands-travel...-province.html (Nan Province)

    Hey there,

Welcome! Sorry I'm late greeting you, but I don't come into newbies often. The light hurts my eyes! Saw you lurking on moronic kiddies though & thought you might have a thread here.

    Really nice to see you.

I didn't think this one needed testing as he's a mate of yours, Jettie.

    Protocol, Marmers, protocol.

Thaidaus is also a new member with much grace and intelligence. He likes to share a good laugh, too. Oooooh, sucking for greens. OK, I'll shut up now.

Well Scu, Nagas hold me in little fear, as I boast Pug as a friend, but like many outcasts we have to choose our friends carefully, you have many good ones by the look of it, Rain in particular I have just noted, others, well make your own mind up, I have mine.

Welcome again to this strange Rift.

I would be really interested to find out the breakdown of this forum into:

    1) ex members of Thai Visa who have been permanently banned

    2) members of Thai Visa who are on a holiday

    3) members of Thai Visa who split their time between the two forums

    4) member of Teak Door who registered with Thai Visa but decided they didn't fit the profile there and came here before they managed to get suspended or banned

    5) members of Teak Door who have never posted on ThaiVisa

I suppose that I came here on a whim to visit departed friends, some of who have been banned or suspended and some who are just multi-forumers.
The attraction of Thai Visa really fluctuates, the very size of it can be daunting but sometimes the local sub forums can be entertaining. Ditto the specialty forums like food and sport.
It seems to be going through a flat spot at the moment, could be seasonal... could be the latest spate of heavy handed moderation, who knows.
I flirted briefly with the idea of a name change for Teak Door, I post under a different name on another forum but I suppose it would only have been a form of game playing... which I'm getting a bit old for.
I'm prepared to accept Teak Door at face value and will try to put as much back into it as I get out of it.
What do I expect from a forum? Information and entertainment. And if friendship comes as well, it's a welcome bonus.
