Decided its time to just bite the bullet

    Hi every one ,

Originally from the UK ( Leicester ) Ive been coming to Thailand for over 20 years and eventually settled here after meeting my Thai wife . Through hard work and good luck I managed to retire early from a working life and decided to sell every thing I once owned to leave England and travel . I have not been back to England for over 15 years .

Now at 69 I’m leading a fairly quite rural life with the nearest large city being Korat and I tend to keep my self to my self . Not really one for social media like Instagram , Line or Facebook but internet forums I like for the information they can provide . I enjoy riding my motorbike and tinkering with my cars along with looking after my three dogs ( 2 Bangkaew 1 shih tzu ) . Nothing much amazing but it keeps me active .

    Hi HH

    Thanks for the welcome

Sadly I have had a few past experiences with Vets in Korat , and all of those experiences were not good . I could go into more details but doing that would only get me going and raise my blood pressure .

The last time I arrived back in Thailand was in 2006 and Ive been here ever since , not sure if that's a good or bad thing

I try very hard to keep my 3 dogs healthy and if at all possible avoid like the plague having to book an appointment with any vet . Where I live there is a government vet and I've been to him a few times for simple issues but he always seems keen to prescribe loads of pills tablets and other stuff . Before I go any where with my dogs I always research about the issue they may have .

both me and the wife know what every tablet contained, its uses, dosage, the brand name, how long they must take them.those who gave bags of meds with no info on them, and came from u.now warein bottles of thousands at about 100bht.a thousand, only prolong the dogs recovery.like one vet said to the wife when she wanted to change to branded meds.NO DONT CHANGE YOUVE COME THIS FAR y.must keep going for your beloveds sake.even after 11rs.at a top hospital in bkk.8,000bht.for tests wife was told come back in 14days time,he only made it to the 8th.day.once they see me,or ask the wife for here id.card that's it,[A FARANG NAME]time to catch the gravy train.
we would have been more than happy if they had told us what to expect but seeing the 100,000 wad in here bag they thought we can do with some of that.[PROLONG COMES TO MIND]
    R.I.P. MY BELOVED XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.mum& dad.
how dissapionted the hospital was when told he had passed away.
