I don't care if you buy my car or not. You are not my target customer if you don't like the car, so try to be helpful and not distracting to everyone that reads your off point comments. Stay on point and give me information that smacks of a little bit of thinking and knowledge on the subject of the listing. Please, this is getting annoying. You guys are worse than Thai when it comes to logic and knowledge. Get with the program. Maybe you have been living here too, too long. Again I want sales channel information nothing else. I have a lifetime of successful experience in sales and marketing. I know how to move the ball ahead. Again, I need sales channel information and nothing else.
Relative to Thai auto websites, if you truly want to gain some knowledge on them you can buy one of the telephone size magazines dedicated to selling cars in Thailand and pick off the web sites. They are comparable, as a whole to anything in the west and the number of cars for sale are huge. By comparison, Baht and Sold, Visa, Anglo Info etc are bush league players. They are not really in the game. Remember you are in Thailand and there are over 65M people in this country. By comparison, we farongs are like a grain of sand. It's convenient to list in my native language, but the customer base is minor league. Also, remember you live in Thailand and when doing business in a foreign culture one must adjust one's way of thinking in order to optimize results. Thanks for the post.
Fair play to Yoda.
He has been baited by a few posters and didn't take the hook.
He has replied in a gentlemanly fashion, so I tip my hat to you.
Even after those kind words I agree with the rest of the mob. Priced too high (even for the Thai market).
After reading this thread, I looked closely at one today - not very interesting at all; small like a Jazz, but not as cute; box-like, almost ugly; a big seater? Maybe, but buying a Fortuna would be much better... I just don't see much of a market for them!
I fully accept that it suited the OP's needs well. At the same time, whilst the car has proven a good one withregard to reliabilty and costs, it is still not an attractive propostition to most folk.
I always check this website for costs: ซื้อขายรถบ้าน รวดเร็ว.ปลอดภัย.ไม่เหมือนใคร OneStopService - I hope that is of some use. :)
Here is a 2006 example: http://www.taladrod.com/w20/Search/C...spx?cib=533872.
They have 27 for sale, out of 3397 Toyotas for sale; is that 1%?

Not popular in Thailand...
Thanks for the kind words. I can't judge with certainty what peoples motivations are, therefore I let that alone. The main point being, I did not ask for anything but info on sales channels. Even you got drawn off point by the spurious comments and you seem like an intelligent fellow.
Hey, it's okay with me that guys have opinions and judgments, We all do. I just don't care to hear them on this link. Seems like a lot of folks may not familiar enough with the English language to distinguish between the works "where" and "how"! Simple logic, just read the posts. On the other hand I am pleased with the degree of participation. It's always humorous to watch people operate at their true level of competence. We are who we are! This blog is actually pretty good. Try reading some of the US blogs, retarded and hateful is too complimentary a word for many folks on a number of blogs. Peoples pathologies always show true when they can hide. Thanks again.
Thanks for the comments. I know the pricing range of these vehicles. This is a low-ball price and the vehicle is dreary at best and older. Again, I DO NOT need help on pricing. The topic of this listing is "Where do you sell....." I don't care about other data. I already have what I need on issues regarding pricing. What do you know about sales channels in Thailand that might be helpful?????
Sorry, I should have responded to this comment first. Thanks for being in the right direction regarding sales channel. Based on listings One2car.com has over the years been head and shoulders above the rest of the sites relative to listing quantity and quality. Check the link below

This link is for Toyota Avanza and has 90 listed today. If you like edge cases you will find a 2004 Avanza listed for 481K Baht. Most are in the low to higher mid 400K range.
I appreciate your comments, because they are directly related to the question of channel, even though you seem to want to drive a price point. Why is that? It seems to be a disease amongst the comments.
By the way, I have bookmarked 13 Thai Auto sales web sites. Car sales in Thailand is big, big business. As of today, Thailand is number 13 in the world in car production volume.
No it isn't. The question is "where is the best place to sell a car in Thailand?".Quote:

Good luck with the sell.
You guys keep picking on this poor guy all he wants to do is sale his car.
So let him at lease try to sale his car without a much of input form us. Sei Senor
In the end lots of people have opinions. I did not open this link for random opinions of car valuation from folks I don't know. Certainly, I have a very strong capability to determine the value of the vehicle. Many folks posting seem to be low balling the price and focused on bollocks busting. That is typically a useless waste of time, practiced by air heads. I don't mean to insult anyone, but reading some of these post makes that conclusion self evident. My title is pretty clear regarding what I want.
How do you know the price is too high? No where did I say I was having a problem selling the car. I only ask for sales channels. If one want to be helpful solving a problem, one must first understand the problem. Extraneous information is not giving more, it's giving totally useless opinions, based on folly. An analogy could be described as taking a dump in some one's head uninvited. It's not appreciated, smells, gets in the way and has to be cleaned up. Really an obnoxious habit. On the other hand some folks were operating with integrity are deeply appreciated.
try selling it here.
its the biggest thai used car site, if you cant read or write thai then you will need a thai speaker to place your ad.
Yoda prick he is.
Thanks, I did not have this site. Great add to my request for help. I will have to play with it for a while. My wife is Thai, but sometimes gets confused regarding these sites. Your help is greatly appreciated.
No one seems to have any meaningful experiences with the tents. I have dealt with them a little when I was trying to buy my cars. The ones I dealt with really knew now to refresh used cars. A buyer has got to be really savvy to see beyond the cosmetic fixes.
I do have a dealer pursuing me regarding the car. A Toyota dealer. They will probably put it in their certified car program if we reach agreement.
Because the last 3 pages have said that the price is too high?Quote:

Again, good luck with the sale and I have 20 quid on Marmite tearing you a new arsehole if you carry-on the war of words with him.

Everything sells at a price and the only thing that controls the price is the market. You, like so many Thais too. price way above the market and pray to above for a savior. Price it at or below the market and move it . Eat the loss and learn from your mistakes. For the record, you bought a slow mover with very limited mass appeal. No value on purchase with a 35% excise plus 7% vat and no bargain on resale. Only a truck is a value in Thailand and the baby minis if you must buy a car will move on resale. Honda city or Toyota Vios. None others.
Good luck

I agree for the most part with your comments. I spent my whole life in sales, marketing, engineering and executive management. For commodity items the market sets the price. To be more precise, the market sets a price range and recognizes differentiation in product. I do not set my price high. Actually, I use the same web sites for research that the Thai auto dealers and tents use. My data is based on reviewing ads for about 200 cars. I definitely know the asking range for my car. As far as demand for my car, I really can't say. However, it is not usual for me to get prices above my purchase price. Why? Because my cars are in exceptional condition. My vehicle is better compared to a show room vehicle rather than a typical Thai beater, and answering the question is new worth the price difference. As the old accounting rule goes; buy low sale high. This theorem only works if the vehicle both show and performs well. By the way, your comment on trucks is not really accurate in today's market, cars are increasing market share and are forecast to continue the trend into the foreseeable future. That is from an auto industry CEO. Also, if you live in BKK, that trend is very apparent. Truck are in the minority and declining quicily around BKK. On a daily basis, I see very, very, few truck in the center of the city. Sound like you may life up country, where things may be different. Back on point, the question is still where are the best place to sell cars in Thailand. I disagree with your point that venue does not count. I have spent time at Thai tents and dealer and evaluated their process and they range from poor, ignorant, incompetent to modern, clean, organized, profession and confidence building. I was hoping someone on this site actually did their home work and found tents or websites that demonstrated effectiveness. But alas, I have gotten lots of opinions and few facts. I have found a great source for maximizing web exposure and am close to choosing a tent based on the knowledge of Thais that I know. When I do I will add this data to this thread. Thanks for your comments and your integrity.
