    Air Blade v Nouvo Elegance?

I'm looking to get a new scooter. Previous one was a Click but I've been looking at the new Air Blade as I have ridden them in the past and they feel a bit more substantial than the Click. Short arse wheels are the main drawback on both the Hondas though.
However, there's also this PCX 125cc and the Yamaha Nouvo Elegance 135cc both of which I know little.
Anyone had experience with either/both of these?

Took the Nouvo for a blap around the block the other day and was impressed with how smooth it was. Mind you it is the only new bike I have ever ridden so can't really compare it with anything!

I have a new Nuovo that I bought May last year, only has 1100 km on it now so I haven't ridden it a whole lot but it does ride ok and suites my needs. I'm no light weight so the little cc power is welcomed. It is not easy on the fuel though. It seemd like as though it is always thirsty. Nice long seat. Overall, it has served my purpose.

They're so similar in style and performance that it would come down to what deal you can get on a new one and minor practicalities like how big is the under seat storage and has it got room behind the fairing to stash a water bottle and all your bits.

Bought a Nouvo-Elegance last year, after hesitating with Air-Blade too. I'm not too familiar with the Blade, but I just loved every one of the 7500km i rode on the Elegance.

It's particularly maneuverable, which helps you navigate in thick jams where others would be stuck (are you in Bkk ?). If you're into speed, you can also push it fast enough to turn a bit green on the edges ! I took it to KK and back (450 km x2) without problems, just a sore ass.

I find it very reliable for riding, breaking, avoiding buses, bringing you home alive when drunk, etc...

Then, like ItsRobsLife said, you might find a good bargain or love at first sight !

I bought a new Air Blade a year ago, only put 1400 km on it, it seems to be snappy enough with the EFI and the no trans is nice, seems to be a stable machine and not bad for 108 cc..

Had an Airblade for over a year now - no problems - am looking at the PCX at the moment.
Bit more power (I am a fat bastard) - I do a lot of km's and the seat on the PCX is more comfortable - longer wheelbase gives you a smoother ride as well .

I need to buy a motorbike ASAP. Yamaha have a new Mio out which is 115cc for 44,000 baht. I am comparing that with the Nouvo-Elegance for 54,000 baht. The only off putting thing is the small wheels on the Mio.

Are bigger wheels better then small or is it all in my head?

The correct sized wheels are best.

The Blade feels like a proper bike. Mines done 16k now with no problems.
Eats up the rubbish roads ok. Bit thirsty though.
Ok on longer runs aswell. It's 80 click to my favourite establishment of entertainment in Patters and I can get there just as quick on the Blade as I can in the Vigo.

45,500 new? This was a yamaha dealer as well (in Ubon) - had a friend buy one 3 months ago for 58k.

Could it be an older model?

    .
One would hope all new bikes would have the correct wheels fitted.

I like the mio because it has a full step through (more room to carry shopping) but those small wheels are so off putting.

What the hell is a blade? (Off to google now)

Gotta go back to the shop, I'll try to take a pic and ask info for you. The price can be quite different if you use credit.

    bought mine cash in nov. 98, 45 000 bahts, 3 000 km

If you could SunTzu that would be really appreciated. I will be paying cash. Just find out what model it is and maybe grab a business card from them. I can use it as leverage here in Ubon to get a better price.

I inherited a Nouvo, great little bike, smoother than the Honda equivalent, which I use when I am in Pattaya but its thirsty.

Still if I had to buy a small bike i would have no problems with buying the Yamaha.

When you mean thirsty do you mean It will cost an extra 50 cents a week to run or more serious then that?

This is the benbaaa-mobile (the one in the foreground, not the background). It's the Nouvo model before the Elegance and I think 115cc. About three years old, no problems at all, thirstier than my old Honda Dream, but not exactly going to break the bank. Picked it over the Air Blade 'cos it had bigger wheels, a big storage bin under the seat and I had a chance to rent one for a week first and liked it. Pretty sure I'd get an Elegance if I was going to get a new one.

Right Ben, the under seat storage is Big Plus, fits a decent helmet, mines 135 cc, not superbike but it gets up a decent speed and cruises easily at 100 KPH, smoothly as well.
The click at that speed is screaming its head off.
