All litre bikes have more or less the same horsepower. Remember these figures are peak horsepower. ie at max revs such as 13,000 rpm. When are you going to be riding at 13,000rpm?? Hardly... What to look for is how and when the power is delivered. Smooth and the fat of the power in the midrange.
The gixxer is known for low to mid range grunt.
The ZX10R is known to have a strong mid range but fok all down low.
The engine that can hold the power thru to the upper regions of the RPM scale before it tails off tends to be the stronger one.
For road riding it the low to mid range grunt that makes a great bike. Gixxer. Strong mid range to top end favours the track enviroment. aka the ZX10R.
However out of the box. I will say that the Gixxer gives the best all round package.
The latest ZX10R I am having second thoughts. Beside it proven to be crap in WSB.

been to see the bike and its not worth the money:cmn:
G'day there,
Looking to purchase either year model of this bike. Will settle for a straight frame and a good engine. If you know where I could find one would appreciate it. Prefer one that is currently running and located in Bankok. Regards Scoops
I saw a bunch of them on Mocyc.com a while back, but only one on there when I looked a couple of weeks ago.
The owner of #1 bar in Khon kaen has 4 cyl. Honda for sale. Think it needs some minor work, tune-up etc. Call Dave at 043246110. The guy he bought it from was from Wales, so its paintd in Wales colors. You would need to dress it up, but I think thd price is right. Be my guess between 40 and 50K baht.
yeah, I didn';t notice the date. thanks for telling me.
I just bought myself a KTM 660 Supermotard (2005).
Do you guys know where I would be able to get parts for this bike?
I live close to Khon Kaen (Ubonrat).
Thanks!
Try the shops in Kaeners....they have contacts in Bangers as well.
Hey Jr666 I am just over the mountain from you, Do you know Garrys bar ? in Ban core ( not correct spelling) as there are a few riders in the areaQuote:

My new bike is standing in the garage awaiting my arrival (I have not even tried it yet).
Looking forward to it!

Mate that one looks a bit nasty.
Got a 12 year old beautiful a1 condition cb 400,yellow 69000 baht no book or 95000 with book for sale pattaya 0898649524
You can get one with a book for 50k up in Udon. A guy in my village bought a black CB400 about 6 months ago for that (with book). Spotless it is too.
By the bike for 69,000 and get all the pappers. Then go to the police station and say you lost the book. Put in papper work for new book and bingo you have a bike with a book.Quote:
