Watch Out for MIB, Songkran is near!

Coming our of the car park today and just belting on, before turning onto the main road (Robinsons, Udon Thani), I was stopped by the infamous MIB, a whole team of 6 to 7, very busy stopping almost everyone. Asked what I had done wrong, he took a long long time before he pointed to my seat belts. I objected, pointing that this was on before I got on to the street. He refused to listen and just issued a ticket. Conveniently another cop was sited at the corner, at a desk, collecting money like a bank cashier! Girlfriend was fuming mad and literally threw the 200 baht at the "cashier". She was of cos threathened, but just walked away. Damn....how i hate this time of the year when these sly guys congregate. And cheekily, we saw them again (a whole team) having a big meal at dinner. Sure beats working!

Cheeky bastards! Eating at meal time. They've got some nerve.

A genuine cop doing his duty for a change. If he was doing it for tea money he wouldn't have issued a ticket.

I think "genuine cop" here exists only when the occasion arises....the occasion now is Songkran...they work together and collect a commission on the tickets issued. Thus, the "ticket" is a "licensed" to collect...and SHARE! be forewarned..
