What kind of Motorcycle do you own.

I would put a picture up of my bike but it says I cannot make attachments.

I've got pics of it as it is now and of what she should look like when I'm finished with it. Still waiting for more parts to come in from the US. A Welsh friend just brought in a set of carbs that I wanted for spares. IT's an old bike but will be fun to ride.

It's a 1986 Kawasaki Eliminator 900. Stock is over 85hp with a top speed of about 145mph, 6 speed traney and has a driveshaft (no chain). Maybe after I get more posts in, I'll be able to post the pics.

So what kind of bikes do you guys and gals have?

I thought "drive" is used with cars and "ride" is used with bikes.

You can post pics here, but first you must upload them to somewhere like www.photobucket.com and then link to the image address.
It's dead easy when you now how.
Pm me if you get stuck

Sorry I don't have a bike but I have nothing against people who ride them so long as they are not gay

I've had a few bikes, BSA, Matchless, Montesa Cota which was bloody uncomfortable to ride on the road, Suzuki SP400 was my last bike.

I only ride a step thru in LOS as I don't need to go fast, I rather fancy an Indian Enfield if I can find one.

    And I'm not gay.

Dougal, there is a very old Enfield in my town.
Next time I see it I will ask the owner if he wants to sell and take a picture for you.
I know nothing about bikes but it looks about 1950 at the latest to me.
Oh, unless he turns out to be gay because then I won't speak to him.

Used to build and ride. was my life. Miss it. Been plannin' another hope to get it done this year. Last bike was a 98" low rider. branch flowed heads, Ron Carrillio made the rods. Custom machined my flywheels, about 11:1 compression, 1 7/8" carb. Not much for the twisties but after about 2500 RPM she'd peel the skin off your face. Load of torque, carried it all through about 7200 RPM. In a hawg that's spun tigher'n hell.
next one's gonna have to be 120 CU in. and rigid. Might beat me to death but it'll be fun.

Clean sporty, Stretched a bit radically but actually a comfotable lookin' bike for little guy. He'd be stopin' for a sip every 30 minutes or so with a tank like that. So much stretch in the frame for'd and aft the motor makes the engine look like a toy. Me I like with short wheel-bases good road holdin' tires and maybe even a bit less rake than stock say about 28 - 29 degrees.
Rigids can be made to handle better than the big behemoth harleys by virtue of their lighter weight and lower center of gravity, BUT, you gotta be willing to get loose, Cutting a line with surgical precision ani't gonna happen.

Rode witha dude had a sportster set up like that. Dude could damn near keep up I was on a bik almost identical to this:

The pipes on this one are way too long But shotguns are definitelythe way to go for me Just alot fuckin' shorter. love the look and, set up right, they don't drag. The Frontend on this one's weak as well. The seat geometry and a look is what i bulit most of I was building the 98" motor a bike steup like this. along a came dude with a blown motor and a Low-Rider. Shoulda stuck with the rigid. Selling the rigid was one the all time dumb things I did. Got the frame off a 3:00 AM telephone call was a stone stock '53 Pan frame with all tabs no bent or smashed tubes...
Was my third Panhead, and my last. it had a 84" stroker motor in it Sold it for a few bucks and the low riders Dumb Dumb Dumb
Also sold a vincent, not sure, Rapide? same bike and motor as the black shadow only one carb and less duration on the cams.

This one's mine. As you can see I've customised the, er, what'sname, and I've completely rebuilt the thingamyjig. I used to prefer a really long, steel whatnot, but these days I'm more used to a 100x150.

Thetyim, I would be interested in pics of the Enfield and if the guy wants to sell. Where is it located? Is it running or does it need to be restored.

The bike is in daily use but doesn't look very neat as it is all black and no chrome. I live in Phrae.
There is a bike museum here somewhere, apparently a lot of english bikes in there.
Will send you a piccy if you swear upon a copy of Spankers Weekly that you're not gay.

I don't know "Spankers Weekly" but roi % I'm not gay. The only things I like to do with guys is ride bikes (no guy packing on board), drink, shoot pool and go fishing. Other than talkin BS and working on bikes with them, it's the only interest I have in guys. Women are a totally different story. So many women and so little time (and money, my bike gets most of my money). Gotta love the Thai women. I'll have to find out where you are compared to Bang Bua Thong.

I was going to tour India on an Enfield.

    I'm glad I didn't though as I can't ride a bike for toffee - ask Pops!

agingone, if you're talking about the OCC boys building bikes then I think the show stinks, same story all the time with time shortage and shit. They don't build them, they just put them together. I would like to see a show about the guys building bikes (Outlaw Bikes) in that prison in the US. I forget the name but these guys build just about the whole thing in prison.

I am planing on selling mine off.

The missus is a bit worried as a story has just filtered through to her about the near miss with a truck a few weekends back.

Time to buy something a little slower.
