Agreed. Too bad really. I am a Yamaha guy through and through but I always liked all of the SuperSport series class (Yam, Suz, Kawi, Honda). I did glance over at the YZF-R1. Incredible off the showroom floor technology but I can't convince myself I need a liter bike here. The 600 class is really a nice balance. But my R3 just sits right now.

    I have a Honda Click.

7 years old - battery is dud, never been serviced. Speedo cable dropped out 3 years ago.

I often wonder when it will die from lack of oil, brake fluid or just general lack of care - but nope - whenever I do a beer run - there she is.

Well I picked up a 1996 Japanese Spec'd Honda RVF NC35 over the weekend to add to the canyon carvers. I had been looking for quite a few years for an original legitimate one. I was going to give up and just buy the Yamaha YZF-R6. I had come across many that were UK Grey Market and were put together with VFR NC30 parts to look like a RVF. Most never have clean green books or the ones I did happen to see were fake but might have worked.

This moto I picked up is a full documented Japanese spec RVF. I checked SN's on frame and motor. Its all original and was imported 4 years ago by the family I bought it from. It has a few blemishes (Almost 25 years old) but is all there and all original fairings. It has the Japanese spec'd ECU, Inverted forks, Titanium exhaust with Carbon Fiber can, Single sided Pro Arm By Honda / Elf France, low miles and a clean Green book. It needs a new chain and some better rubber.

I will post some pics when I have time

Note: Wanted to Thank LuLu, I had seen the bike on a FB page and I PM'd Lulu to see if he had seen any RVF's and he sent me a link to it on another site as well.

"I am a Yamaha guy through and through", yeah from the Jap 4, Yamaha is the only one that matters in my book.

Yes I am a Yamaha Guy. Always will be but I do like unique Motos and appreciate them all. I loved the early GSXR 1100 SACS moto. I also like the NSR 250 SP moto as well. All part of the motorcycle GP history. I have also been looking for a TZM. Found a few but did not like the color options.

I picked this '72 Yamaha SL 100 off of an old Sparkie friend that retired years ago for 200 usd.
The clutch throughout rod was bent so he couldn't shift it. He / we didn't know why at the time. I flipped him the two bills and threw it on the trailer. Got home, popped the cover off and aha. Put it in a vise, straitened her out and placed it back in 180 degrees over so the stressed portion was in the sleeve. Haven't had a problem since. An nice little putter.

I've yet to dust off the Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Classic yet this year. Too many projects but I do fire her up every other week. I'm just going to have to make the time. Thanks for the green Luigi. If I wasn't so preoccupied chasing the green I'd have the time to play but the way I have it figured is that there will be pleanty of time for that later. You know, make hey while the sun shines and all.
It sucks to be a workaholic but that's the main thing that keeps me from drinking too much. Have one for me fellows, cheers.

See, I really did ride the bagger at one time. I'll hose her off tomorrow when I'm done mowing the lawn, trimming the bushes, vacuuming the pool, pulling the 351 Cleveland. ... Ok, I'll start with the bagger.

Like paying down debt, start with the easiest to pay off first. Then your getting somewhere.

Looks like mother nature took her over. I haven't ridden her since before we went to Laos in mid November. Almost makes me want to move to Arizona. Na...

Some nice old baby Yams there Fish. They fetch some cash these days. When i was a nipper i learned to ride on a Yam 100 fizzer. I agree with JPPR they are my fav bikes too and i think their build quality was always tops - they were obsessive from the start.

I have always like the Japanese big 4 for those very reasons. Outstanding quality (even when beating the hell out of them), Always started right up. No issues, no leaks, easy to work on.

Started out on a Honda 125 dirtbike, Then got a Honda Super Sport 400. I switched over to a Kawi 750 H2 triple for a few years. (Death ride for sure). Later was Yamaha RD's (had a 350 and 400). I also had a few Yam FZR 400's along the way. Super bike technology really picked up and I bought my first true factory race bike FZR 750 0W01 ( it got stolen) and the insurance company would not pay out but enough to buy me FZR 1000. In 2005 I dropped some coin on the 2005 YZF -R1 special Edition Yellow

Now over here I am just playing with small cc canyon carvers. Far better and a heck of a lot of fun.

JPPR i had an RD400, kept it for nearly a year until i thought i won't survive another year with this - lunatic bike just kept me wanting to test its limits or was that the other way around. I also has a 400/4 super sport which was a lovely little bike - me big ones were in no particular order; ZX10, FZ1000, Triumph 955 and Fireblade

All great bikes but the Yam as a racer was my favourite and felt i could red line it more than the others.

Not had a big bike for over 14 years now, started to go off the idea after working abroad for some years and then coming back to the UK to find the roads clogged with traffic (went away and most families had one car came back and they had 2 or 3 with the kids) and you just couldn't enjoy opening the bikes up and had to be extra vigilant for idiots pulling out. Sad but probably wise for longevity.

Been a motocycle owner since the age of 16. The list is long so won't bore you. My first however started off a life long obsession with wind in my hair, bugs on my teeth and having something exciting between my legs.

You thought the RD was bad...I had the Kawi 750 H2 triple 2 stroke. They claimed 75ish HP but man I think they lied. If you spun that thing up you almost had to lay on the tank to keep the front end down grabbing gears. That motor rev'd so fast. It always pulled even when you pegged the tac. I sold it because....well...I wanted to live and it was going to happen on that whack moto

Yeah Norts. They were a handful and had zero manners. It was either idle or WOT and hold on. Good save was just yank the clutch lever in.

    Ah, the A10.
Wonderful motorcycle in all it's guises.
And so much better (prettier) than it's successor the A65.
I bought my T140 brand new in April 1979, aged 18 and a bit, still got her, that's 40 years together, in her many guises inc rigid chop in the mid 80's.
Been in this chassis since the mid 90's with a Weslake billet steel stroker crank and a capacity anywhere from 803 to 870cc, currently 830.
Long time together for man and machine.

Brit machines were preferred for years then this came along. Changed the entire industry.

I kinda wish you wouldn't post pictures of this lovely Trimph! brings back some sad memories when I see them
I had a 73 Bonnie that I started to "chop" up in the early eighties with the vision it would end up looking something like yours, clean, minimal, quality fixtures & fasteners, nice lines, stop and go optimized!! Sadly, thanks for reminding me, I lost the bike, must have been around 83, I was working in SEA, I left the bike in a motorcycle shop, I was away for about a year, when I got back the shop had gone! so had my bike, long story cut short never seen it since
