I have not heard anything bad about them, but I am out of the loop on that type bike for 30 years now.
I do know that at my time on em they were almost guarenteed to break down and leave your ass out in the sticks.
I did ride mine from Sacramento to Great Falls Montana, but I always was a tough iron butt bastard, Couldn't get me to ride that som bitch from here to Lom Sak today.

But they say they are a dependable bike today,, but it was OK back then as thats what we had.

    OK good
Travelmates bike will blow up soon, but probably not because he rides it like a big girl, so it might last a little longer

And whats with the white motorcycle, you do know only two types of people ride white bikes, and they are ??

    ^^ Two types?

Cunts and police are the same so that's one type, which is the other?

Not really. It was only a tooth broken off the hub starter gear.
    Replaced within seven days.

    What bike?
The new Honda PCX fi , and it is truly amazing .

I like big bikes and hold licences (My hobby again guys )valid in 30 countrys, but they have all the disadvantages here of being stuck in traffic without air con and the radiator broiling your feet . They also can't get to the front at lights Mr Blackgang! He He !
The PcxFi is bigger than a normal moped type and has three riding positions--'laid back and lean back ', as on a chopper , 'upright' as on a scooter, and 'forward' with feet on the pegs as on a full modern bike.
Giving 52 K to the liter and a 325 K range is amazing as well but it rides like a big bike with all the big bike acceleration and a good top speed (if you can get round the speed limiter).
Hydraulic brakes which put the rear on slightly as you apply the front .
Fly by wire throttle which 'instructs' a variable fuel injection system -- the speed the throttle is turned makes the fuel pump build up slow or give full flow if you turned it fast . I think Hoda call it 'inteligent' fuel injection.
When stopped the engine turns off , which you can choose to overide, but throttle starts with no 'lag' as it apparently becomes a 'hybrid' battery bike for a part of a second before engine power returns.

There will always be 'icons' in cars and bikes and I honistly beleve this bike is one.
So much so that , after a 'praki' on my mates one , I traided a Yam Elligance with only 8000K on the clock at a great loss for one and it was worth every penny!
Honda --and I never liked them previously.

Ha Ha Ha ! come on , you want a pink fino as much as the next man ! You could have a matching helmet!

    It's the future!
    Simple as that.

The two have been meeting in the middle for years and scooters have come a long way from vesper/ piaggio days. In the same way , a driver of a modern bike like a ducati laughs his ass off as he passes a Tractor---whoops sorry , I meant a Harley

It is more a motorbike than a scooter IMHO but has all the advantages of the modern breed of scooters combined with the ride of a big bike . Try one , you will be converted.Frankly , some of the 'choppers' we see here are a joke I laugh at in the mirror as I pass .
