Thread: What kind of Motorcycle do you own.

As of a few days ago, down to a Ninja650 and Pink Fino in Bkk, Ninja 400 in CM.

No pics as there's (at least) one person trying to get me and my family's personal info.


Still thinking about an NSR150sp as a toy to mess about on/with. Was looking at NSR250's for a few giddy moments on classifieds yesterday.

Back in the 80s i had a Yam RD350, only stoker i ever owned, fukin loon of a thing always brought a smile and a sense of impending doom - sold it after 8 months which explains why i am still alive.

There was previously a shop in Isaan that had a load of new stock that came up for sale, but think they've been sold out now for a few years. A few people traveled across the country to pick one up.

Just had these wee badboys arrive. Been looking for small panniers for 1-2 night trips around the North.



Perfect size as me others are more suited to longer touring. Shouldn't effect the handling too much along with a tank-bag and chick less than 45kg on the back.

Think they were made up to around the mid/late-90's. I had a '94 model years ago.

Damn good bang for buck at 82k.

Got a Givi Rack and Shad topbox on the main bike which is damn handy if touring, or just buggering around the place, chuck yer backpack in and go, lock the helmet and jacket in when parking. Just use me tankbag when needed as it's a pain when fueling etc.

Those 2 wee fellas are about right for me tampons and maxipads when heading away for a night or two on windy roads. Kinda like sports panniers as opposed to touring.

Yeah, apparently it's not uncommon to see the odd old motosai shop with a few new 2T's in them. Though the price has gone up. They were going for less than 60k around 8 years ago, then up to 70k 10 years ago, now 82k. Could be a combination of how Thais judge prices and that they're after new flashy models and not ones from 20 years ago.

The ones mainly sought after are the Kawa KKR amd then the NSR150SP.

Cool thanks for the info. I’m only really familiar with 2stroke dirt bikes. I can only imagine how fun one of these would be.

Triumph's had a change of clothes and a few updated details in time for it's 40th birthday next month...

btw, the new (or 2nd Gen, at least) CBR650 is massive improvement over the 1st Gen.

Went and looked at the new Yamaha R6. Hmmmmmmmm...My wallet was shaking. Didn't pull the trigger....yet.

Its funny in that the Honda 650 only makes 94 Hp while the R6 clips the 120 Hp mark. Not sure how they are in the same 600 series class. Worlds apart in technology.

Yeah, the CBR600 would be a fairer comparison. Unfortunately never sold legally here. :/
