Need a good exhaust note for sure.
The Midget wants to know where your gik will sit.
Very nice looking bike. Well done.
^ on the lounge at home :)
Yes I like the seating arrangement, can easily bullshit them into believing "cannot" when it suits me :)
I believe the rear cowl comes off to reveal a passenger seat. :)
^ the Speed 4 has a similar setup re the pillion seat cover; I got caught out a few times when wanting to take a pillion, either they sit on it (risky and uncomfortable), put it inside their jacket if space allows, or carry it (awkward)
Any of those scenarios a complete pita.
As I am laid up still and can't ride it I am having fun checking out the mods you can do to them and there are a lot! Looks like my paypal account is going to get a hiding....but the pricks charged me B7600 duty on my pipes and air box kit. That hurt.
I got charged 500B on a set of 'new' carbs. Everything else has been 7B. :)Quote:

I installed the open pipes on the Thruxton, oh sweet sound of a parallel twin be free!
Much better and gives me an excuse to post some more pics :)
I also have a lucas style tail light and bullet indicators to go on but I want to bob the fender first. Should look sweet, it's a common mod.

Looks sweet.
To bob the fender you will need to use an angle grinder?
It's steel so takes a bit to cut. Most guys get by with just carefully using cutting discs in dremel tools. I am going to get a professional customiser here in CM to do it. Just take a inch or so off the length and a bit off the sides. This is close to what I want it to look like, this one has the seat hump removed:

looks like this now:

Looks no good to me plus I don't want shite all up my back everytime I ride in the rain.
How often will you actually ride in the rain?
Not if I can help it! But here as you know even doing a u turn and gunning it home to avoid rain still see's you soaking!
I usually find there's a nice wee garden bar thingy by the roadside to duck into in such circumstances.
I love riding in the rain!
My bike loves it too, it's the only time she get's a bath!
It takes all kinds I reckon!
Some folks seem to spend more time and money on wax and caring how the bike looks than they do on fuel!
Last bike I owned was a Honda TL250 from 1975. Only sold it a couple of years ago.
The thing was awesome would almost climb walls.
Would post a pic if I could.
Do I need a certain number of posts before being allowed?
Had one of these as a kid, they were a blast to ride! I bet these would sell like hot cakes in LOS.
