That looks remarkably similar to a Magna recently highlighted on a V4 bike forum I read now and again.

Not mine but I'd love to see the pics, I like to think the mods i made make mine 'different'. Excuse the pipes, they were just temp ones while waiting for bigger black ones to arrive.

I came accross this one, not sure I'd even buy it for spares!

    HONDA NV750CC - CUSTOM,

    HONDA NV750CC - CUSTOM,
Not sure why he's calling it an NV750, when it's clearly a VF750C.

He's made a complete arse of it though.

My first m/c was a BSA single 500 (Not a Gold Star)before that. I pushed it more than I rode it. Then there were 2 triumphs, Suzukis, Yamahas (Many). On Halloween day in 1982, I bough a Honda GL 500 Interstate for $3,000 brand new.
That became my bike until I moved here to SEA. I owned 3 or 4 of them. Incredibly dependable.
Now I own a little toy, a Suzuki Revolution. 110. The owners manual is in Thai.
I changed the oil at 4,000. Is there an oil filter or an air filter on these mini-bikes.
I got it up to 100kph this am (big deal) when my Honda would cruise at 75mph.
I live in Vientiane, apparently the Laos gov is restricting sales of m/c or scooters over 125. (Actually the toy legally belongs to my daughter). We will buy another one soon as my housekeepers Honda Wave 110 has seen it's better days.

I think there is a screen filter in the sump.

bought new Nov 2005, (dog optional extra, 2007 model); had a 98 Triple (Trident 900) before this, think the new Tiger 800 would be an ideal bike for many of the roads here

though I got the Trident into some out of the way places . . .

does anyone know if the Tiger 250rs is a good bike?

I heard that it may be a good bike in heavy city traffic and one for heading up to Chang mai ontoo...Do you think I could take off the road tires it comes with and
put on/off road tires on it...I am worried the front fender will not have enough clearance.

It is a Thailand company and sells for 72,000 baht

I doubt the Tiger would manage long as an offroader.

D-tracker/KLX might be a better bet.

I know a guy who rode one of the first Tiger 250s from Bangkok to Khon Kean. He said 'never again'.

    a death in the family

    A moment's silence please

    Re my post 4035 above

Got email this afternoon to say bike has been written-off after the 'minder' had an accident on it a month ago. I suppose I would have liked to have been told at the time. Insurance cover at 'replacement value', initially pissed off but reality is I have no plans to return NZ so long term it was a liability.

How do ya feel? Old bugger, 61, can't be too harsh he's a very careful bloke, his lady said he will be off work 10-12 weeks due to injury. No details of what happened, he does not use email.

    RIP

A thing of beauty. When things go my way, I'll have one of these. In black. And add a stage three Akropovic race system on for me. Thanks.

Well, I had a work accident and did a real number on my arm. Just spent a month in hospital and going back in for more next week. I am a lucky bastard to be here so I'm not complaining but It will be a while before I am 100% if ever. What has this got to do with bikes I hear you cry? Well I have a 2007 KTM 450 EXC that I doubt I will ever be able to hang onto again. It nearly ripped my arms out of their sockets when I was fit let alone now, so sadly I should let it go. I just thought I would put it out to you aficionados before it goes out to the classifieds. It kills me to have to do it but it's no good sitting in the shed forever and needs a good home.

To say it was looked after is an understatement and I have fitted the good gear on it to hit the trails. It has been totally reliable and is a much more relaxed engine (longer stroke) than the mx based bikes but this model still won the WEC in 2007. It is supreme. I have a complete top end rebuild kit to fit when needed, it is still going strong so I haven't fitted it yet, doesn't burn any oil and has about 130 hours on it. i can seriously say I have never had so much fun on a bike in my life. Have you ever let out a "yeehaa!" in you helmet while riding? I did.

Bike is in Chiang Mai but i won't be back there for another couple of weeks.

Nice bike indeed, sorry for your accident and future loss. Is it normal for the chain to be so slack on these bikes?

Cheers guys. The chain does need to be like that due to ktm,s Link-less rear suspension. It is a common comment by keen eyed observers. I set it up initially by taking the rear shock out and lifting the back wheel up till it is at it's tightest point then adjust it accordingly. I then put it back together, hold the chain up to the swing arm, measure the gap with the shock back in and with it on the paddock stand. I then check/set it to that each time knowing it is iit's perfect.

Was it one of these, either swinging arm or the earlier rigid model?

I'm looking for at least a 450CC bike that I can ride dirt and have the flexibility to slap on some supermoto wheels for some street / track work. It also need to be legit for street use. Green book, reg plates, lights and so forth.
    you get the drift

    Bung,
That's a fair price. Good luck with the sale.
