The bottom end looks the same but it now looks like a twin where the old ones were singles. Odd if it had the same issues. You sure? It's a fair bit of a different engine now.

Better wait for Bung as he has probably a better idea of whats around fr the KTM.Originally Posted by jr666
But heres a link to the scotts filters, I think they are great
Scotts Performance Products
I bought filters at a ktm dealer in france which said made in thailand on them...Good luck getting any here though. Did you give the guy a ring from the website? I heard they had the web page but nothing else but worth a shot. I buy filters when I'm out at work in bulk but do some research on the S/S ones as you can reuse them. Loads of people use em but paper are cheap enough, I prefer to stick to manufacturers ones.
You should also take a look at thumper talk forum, big ktm section and loads of info there.

Sorry, I just re read your post. You can get ktm ones but want to use other ones? Why would you want to do that? Original ones are the best. Did you get them in Thailand?
You're right, they are singles, still has oil delivery issues.
Told you I was rusty.

To the camshaft ...... or rather camshafts ? Its a DOHC. The RS 250 was a three valve OHC but the GB250 was DOHC 4 valve if my memory serves me correct.
I actually had VT250F and that was very nice and very fast for a 4 stroke 250.
V twin configuration, DOHC ( making 4 camshafts in all ) and 4 valves per cylinder . Engine tuning was a pig but it had megaphones replacing the standard silencers and it sounded like a Ducati ( honest ) when it was in full swing. As for the sound it made when you shut off the throttle WAAAAAHHHOR .... lovely.
I just want to get some locally. Can't be bothered to carry around a bag full of filters. Must be full flow filters around for this purpose. Should be more or less the same as the KTM ones. I'll take a closer look when I am back home.
I have tried this KTM dealer before. I was planning to buy a new KTM bike before. Did not get any responce on phone or e-mail.
I also need to get some brackets for passenger foot pegs... I guess I make them myself and just buy some ordinary pegs for them. Could be good to have if you find something interesting around the road
Thanks for the tip.
Plenty around but the right size? You would be lucky.
The whole show is on you tube just follow the link and look for the video that has 60 mins under it
Heres another part of it
Been trying to improve this bike for a while, put a K&N filter in it, changed the front bracket and mirrors to the newer model so I could put the black front fairings on it.
Still waiting for the carbon/stainless exhaust system, when its dont it will have one sliver strip down the middle matching up with the front, a new carb and CDI.
Just experimenting with paint on the rear fairings.
Anybody know where I can get a HID kit for this?

I know where you can get a big bore kit for it. Ups it to near 175 cc. Bangna Trad. They got the exhaust & CDI too.
I wouldnt waste the money.Originally Posted by cali kid

Thanks for that tip. I already ordered the exhaust but they only had red and black carbon fiber at the time, should be here at the end of the month "Endurance".Originally Posted by dotcom

There was some old American dude in CM who used to ride round on one of them things. Used to come off it fairly regularly as well. You might know him, CC?
