As an added thought to the above, the man is in his 80s and these little cars are low to the ground, i.e. not easy to get into and out of. How about a smaller SUV or even a Suzuki jeep?

    And:

any person who recommends finance or leasing companies to purchase goods of any kind knows nothing about finance
look up simple interest which banks use and compound interest which finance and leasing companies use and you may learn something of value

Leasing or renting is definitely a great idea when the reason for use is an ill man in his 80s.

Ultra reliable car that is fun to drive and it gets 30-35 miles to gallon no matter how you drive it.
I think it is the other way round, mazda bought the rights to rebadge it as a mazda.

Mazda has added a rebadged Toyota Yaris to its range, branded the “Mazda2 Hybrid”, which will be sold alongside the existing – and completely unrelated – Mazda 2 in the UK from next year.

This confusing situation is a result of Mazda needing to reduce its average CO2 emissions, which it’s unable to do with its car as the company has lagged a long way behind in electrifying its model range. Facing enormous fines from the European Union, Mazda needed a quick way to head off the problem.

As a result, it has turned to Toyota to rebadge the hybrid-powered Yaris as the Mazda 2 Hybrid, creating a bizarre naming situation with entirely different cars sharing essentially the same name.

Why not just correct someone’s English if you want to?

Because it would spoil your Fonz image, of course.

And you’re so, so keen to be the dude.

I've got a Nissan March, and while it has served me well over 10+ years with no breakdowns it's not very cool. Which is what I'd be looking for if I was driving an 80year old man to hospital once a month.

Important point. I have a long way to go before I get into my 80s but I already struggle with getting on and off some small cars, especially the rear seats. There is a Toyota I saw with sliding rear doors that looked good for this one purpose. If the day comes when a wheelchair is needed then the rear luggage space will be important too.

Whatever you do, don't buy any Chinese cars that took over certain American company. Ford included.

Jazz all the way without question as it doubles up as a wee van.

I have one for sale if you're interested, because our addition of the Everest doubles up as a bigger van.

2013, issued in 2014, 80k kms. Never had an issue. 300k.

They are going for around 360k with much higher mileage.

My ex in UK is on her third Jazz and she still thinks it's the most adaptable car she has ever owned. She drives all over the country to her running events and her cars tend to smell like a drying swamp, apart from which they have been great.

I’ve only owned Hondas this century.

    Can’t fault them.

    Oh! I tell a lie.

I had a Ford Focus for about five years in Abu Dhabi.

Missus loves her Jazz and has never had a problem in 6 years. Being on the tall side, I find it very comfortable to drive and has a decent amount of performance. So imo get the Jazz from a dealership with a good service department.
