I didn't realise how bald they were, they should have been chucked out well before the 30,000km. Thinking of buying some of those tyre warmer things the F1 guys use before she sets off in the morning.

I read somewhere that UK has the highest proportion of soft top sales in Europe. Must be something to do with the nation's state of optimism.

    Late to the party...

Looks like a nice car, and you've had plenty of enjoyable days out already.

Any old car is gonna give problems; some good advice/comments on fixing the ECU - don't be too harsh on the old girl. Nice that you could pick up that sheep - did you sell it into the Manchester sex trade after you'd finished with her?

I was planning to do one next month (hadn't decided where - maybe Taiwan), but the wife just got Facebook scammed out of 140,000 baht which has left me making immediate cuts to my quality of life. I thought about killing her because this isn't the first time, but she is pretty depressed over her stupidity, so I'm trying to be empathetic (it's really difficult).

So many scams/scammers in Thailand nowadays, it seems. K-bank scammers tried to take some of her money too last week.

I might still get away next month for a little break; if so, I'll do one of my terrible threads...

^ Christ - i never understand just how this happens? its happened to a couple of Mrs Toots friends, not that much though and they always seem vague (deliberately?) on how it happened.

On a brighter note, looking forward to the thread.

    1) Because (some of) them/they are f'kin stupid and gullible (but, not as stupid as me, obviously...).

    2) Yeah, I hope so. Maybe into the top of Taiwan, a few days traveling down, then fly back from the bottom? I've heard it's pretty nice, easy to get around, good food, etc.

Yeah, no, it's not unusual... There have been 3 or 4 100,000-ish baht scams over the years (about 20?), so a stupidity tax of about 25,000 baht per year isn't that bad. I'm trying to be mellow about it.

I'll add: the wife has been unwell, so on strong medication, hazy memory/thinking, so ripe for a nasty little scamming scumbag.

Thanks, Joe could have bought a nice place in Burriram instead of that car - just a thought.

Just give her a well-deserved spanking Betty!

What nefarious contraband have you got in the boot to cause her to sit so low on the back wheel Joe? (or is it the ex-wife!)

They look wheel black. They look like you bought after market black wheels for it. Which is the look you want imo. You dont want it to look like some arsehole who spray canned his aluminum wheels

The car looks good. The wheels look good.

I prefer a satin finish to a gloss; the finish on these wheels seems to be somewhere in the middle - I like it.

Yeah. I hear you. Mrs bld had a nervous breakdown now known as a phsychotic event , hospitalised for months during this time scammers knew very well how to drain her account, she didnt know what was going on, i think she lost about $4000 aussie pesos, could of been worse
