Forget the VW and that piece of French shit and just buy the Saab if it has a service history and 12 months MOT.

Older Saabs had elegance an comfort, until Vauxhall bean counters started throwing cheap GM parts at it. Check the model provenance before deciding. An original Saab is a good buy if the owner has kept an eye on oil and coolant consumption.

Nearly bought this today,

but didn't fancy a 5 hour/£100 train journey to Norwich.(no offence intended Armstrong) would have made a decent travel thread getting pissed in Norwich with all them pubs

Anything around 2l plus will check the rise in second hand prices. A diesel is not a bad option when fuel prices are so volatile.
