    Nissan Navara NP300?

Are they any good? Obviously the resale value is a reason not to buy. But as a trade up from my 2010 Isuzu Dmax Highlander cab4 3.0 liter manual.
Looking at a 2018 model 4wd Navara has all the stability control features with the 190hp engine and just a 200.000 baht outlay.
Or maybe wait a little more for the prices to drop further?
They appear to be a strong 4wd, according to the forums ive visited, but the engine is different. the twin turbo 2.3 or single 2.3
Any member that owns one or had to get rid of one please let us know how your experience is or was.
PS, i have absolutely no issues with the Dmax in 10 years of ownership even with a chip,

I'd wait a bit, that is expensive.

    PS

It won't have the euro spec rear non leafspring suspension

Yeah I know the Thai spec is live axle, what i am looking for is auto for the missus to be able to drive and the price difference between the nissan compared to the isuzu and toyota in auto in 4wd is astronomical,

My dmax is a super platinum manual trans, a nice truck in silver with beige leather trim and 120.000 ks and log books with service history, but it is manual and the wife cant drive it, so instead of buying her a car why not upgrade to a 2018+ model that she can can drive, that's my thinking anyway.

OK assuming you are trading your 2010 DMAX + 200K THB you will struggle to get an auto 2018 anything imo, thats not massive miles or moody

I drove a mates Navarra a number of times, my drive at the time was a Hilux. It seemed fine to me- the Hilux (still going strong- unbeatable for reliability, but you do pay a premium) drove a bit more like a 'truck', the Navarra had more of a car feel to it's handling. The owner said it had given him few problems too. I think the Navarra gets a bit of a bad rap in Thailand really- it's fine, and there doesn't seem to be any bad rap attached to it here in Oz. I assume you'll be doing mainly highway driving, not offroad?

As far as cheap or not goes, I reckon it is still cheaper in the long run to get a vehicle that has been well maintained, than get a cheapo somchai special. Which usually means, buy off an expat.

Driving up north here they should be renamed Nissan Molasses. For how they accelerate away from traffic lights.

The THB 200,000 is probably the deposit for the new truck, the rest to be paid in installments.

No, figures was on a 350'000 baht trade in on the dmax for a 550.000 baht nissan. 3 of them have been sold already, so now the closest is 650,000, here is an example of what is for sale today.

Yes, agree, low mileage and service records to prove it will alleviate those concerns, as far as buying off farangs is concerned in Thailand I will give my 2 experiences, 1 was a pool table, I asked "is it slate" he said "im pretty sure it is", nope it isnt. 2, "I'm a motorbike mechanic and i took care of all the problems"------ he lied. So I would trust a farang less than a Thai if I was anyone living in Thailand, infact the dmax is a prime example, bought from a Mochit caryard.

Ah, I see. Buying second hand. Hence the reference to the 2018 model in the OP.
