Seems like I heard that story on Pattaya Secrets forum some years ago! So the Pattaya Ford dealer is a real barsteed ay!

As for the MG (Mediocre Garage) vehicles:
1/ Those CP kunts own the business so I wouldn't give em the satisfaction of selling one more vehicle. Tis why I don't buy their fertiliser, seeds or chemi.

2/ In the past I have bought container loads of product to resell in Australia so I have found out first hand how the Chinese can cut corners to save a buck...or a baht.

3/ While they maybe considered safe and have past safety testing when new straight out of the factory I would be concerned if a long term owner. Rust and corrosion and stress takes a toll over time especially if corners have been cut.

4/ If your keeping it 3 or 4 or 5 years your resale value maybe pretty shit! Look at the price of low mileage used TATA pick-ups now.

I think you would be better off paying more for an Izusy, Mitsubishi or Toyota. That being said, considering the cost of labour and other imputs the price they are asking for Japanese brands is bloody extortion! And to top it off and add insult to injury the pick-ups on offer here in LOS are 5 to 7 years behind in development. What pisses me off the most is their still putting drum brakes on the rear axles! Yet most export models get disc brakes.

Could this be the color problem?

I just gave the missus the third degree. In my original spec I wanted a manual. I did not want automatic. Manuals were only available in black or white at the time. Hence why she ordered black.

^ Off topic, but I am after one of those roof tents for my Pajero Sport. Wife has been pestering me for a couple of years now to get one, either that or a trailer tent + kitchen unit.

If you get one of those, be careful if you get up at the middle pf the night to go to the bathroom. LOL

Reminded me of a photo I'd taken at the Bangkok Motor Show in 2017, though this is obviously for a pick up.

I've been getting a bit of aggravation from the local MG dealership, now they're saying they can't provide a red truck! They asked for an advance of the down payment?! Have given varying amounts for the down payment and changed the date of delivery so.....I have had a little look round the Toyota dealer and am having the wife's credit assessed by their finance company this week. If all goes well could be looking at a Toyota 2x4 AT 4 door. Don't really care about the colour, went with black.
It's annoying when you think you've dealt with everything and they keep coming back with these changes. It's not the kind of Thai-speak you'd usually have to deal with. Since I don't understand everything the wife is trying to explain she ends up getting frustrated too.
Anyway, if it falls through with Toyota I can still get the MG just in a different colour. But would rather go with Toyota as I trust them, they are more reliable, well, MG hasn't had much of a track record to go off of and the Mrs reckons that they you wouldn't get a lot for them when you wanted to sell it

Ditto. But not with the local one. To get my Extender repaired under the 12 month free(?) insurance I have to take it to the head office in Korat, 110km away. It has been over 3 months now since we had the accident and they said they would have to contract it out as they had no paint spraying facility in Korat. I got the missus to keep on to them but they claim to be busy. Contacted the head office 2 weeks ago by email but they won't reply. Fcuk MG.

Typical Thai, my missus doesn't like confrontation so getting her to complain is another story.

Does any one know that if my car needs repairing in Korat, instead of my local dealers, can I drop the car off at my local dealers to get them to take it to Korat due to the inconvenience of the distance from our house. I really think that the local dealer needs to sort things out concerning the repair?

Not really true but............... Anyways, MG have now phoned the missus, after I emailed them again, and it goes in for repair tomorrow. Now not a problem in taking it to Korat as the missus will use it as a shopping trip also. Same as next week when she picks it up.

If the cocksuckers at ford Pattaya told me to call my insurance company when I dropped it off they would have paid for the repairs.
So, you are so profoundly stupid that you omitted to call your insurance company before contracting a dealer to effect repairs that no-one on the fucking planet would think is covered by a manufacturer's warranty ( isn't driving it into a fucking lake covered, innit?) and you blame your dealer???!!

Are you American or is it a case your parents shared the same surname?
