I know a few who have electric scooters and are suitable impressed with them.
My only moan is that Armstrong appears to have gone down the biker route, so not technically a scooter.

You need to mod it up!!!

    Chrome,lights,mirrors, whip serial etc

Although not easy to mod up a low rider, Harley lookalike!

Trade it in and get a Mod scooter

It looks very cool. You should get a bag made that fits under the tank.

Seems a bit weird, someone showing off their new bike and there's no noise apart from a beep when the key went in

Seriously, I'd be worried about the lack of noise and some pedestrian not hearing me coming and stepping out in front. Have you thought about attaching a playing card on a peg near a wheel?
Also when overtaking cars on a normal motorbike you can just rev it to let the car driver know you are there.

I can also imagine being hit by a car or truck on that and flying 200 metres down the road due to the lack of weight or it being totally squashed or mangled into my body.

    Just saying

Just reading about how volatile and combustible those Lithium batteries are, combine that with Made in China...

Electric is the future and it's got a horn. So a courtesy beep keeps them aware of where I am.

And it's probably of similar weight to a normal scooter.

The randomly catching fire thing does worry me a tad.. especially when charging..

i'm sure the cops will enjoy taking it for joyrides after they impound it for not being registered.

I've got a guy on the case. If according to Thai law it'll be registered. If not, it won't.

The specification sheet indicates a charging time of around 8 - 10 hours which for a max range of 60km would suggest the bike is little more than a toy.

That it could also explode with the ferocity of a phosphorus grenade merely adds to the fact that only an idiot might rely on this vehicle for daily transport.

It was bought as a toy. It only fits 1 box of beer, certainly not enough for daily shopping duties

I'd sport around on it Armstrong. Nice toy. The technology is improving every year. Up here in the mountains that would be a perfect market runner and no worries if you can't register it, just side streets to avoid the random check points.

As for them bursting into flames, Those incidents are extremely rare and are usually operator error. Usually from overloading. Lithium Batteries do not like heat and on the rare times they catch on fire, it is usually due to some owner who was using it at wide open throttle with too much weight and the current draw is extremely high. Either the battery fails or the wiring was inadequate and burns the insulation. I wonder if the battery pack is stacked 18650 batteries, be interesting to find out. I opened up my EGO 56v battery for my cordless tools and it was 18650 Li/ion batteries from Panasonic.

There is some old gal in my neighborhood that has one of those 3 wheel electric scooters. I see her buzzing all over in it.

    Enjoy the ride.

On Edit, Just saw the tech sheet. so 60V nominal. That is perfect.

Lemmy would've hated that. Or absolutely loved it.

I don't really know but either way it is definitely Chavtastic, well done!
