those meatheads who equate horsepower and engine size with manliness are effeminates in denial.

those little kei cars turned out by the japanese are things of wonder, and i wish they were legal in the eu...... but of course they are not thanks to lobbying by the mighty german car industry.

they are easy to park, economical to run and maintain, kinder to the environment and infinitely more fun to drive than some 3 litre poser piece of shit by bmw or audi, laden down with useless unreliable electro tech and expensive anti pollution devices.

I had a 2008 Honda S2000 in the states for a few years. Man what a blast that car was and Honda mod parts are cheap and good bang for the buck. I actually wanted to bring one here to Thailand but the cost was...well you know.. ridiculous sadly.

Honda won't be selling it in Thailand.

You can buy grey imports though and I think ive seen the Modulo for sale @ 1.7 million.

^ I'm not disagreeing with you Fondles as you know your stuff in this area, just sayin that the wife told me it is coming to Thailand, about 700,000 won + taxes. She might have meant/misunderstood an import from Japan rather than being sold through Thai Honda dealers? Apparently, start selling today, so she tells me.

^^ & ^^^ yeah the MR2s were very good, and the Honda S2000 was fantastic, so this little Honda will likely be pretty nice and a decent seller. Probably won't come out well in crashes with Fortuners though (not that my Honda City would either...). If the wife wants to sell the Honda City and get one, I don't mind - I might even drive it from time to time...

Back in my business days I was gonna buy a Boxster but tried out loads of stuff like the TT and SLK. The boxster was great, all the others were crap in comparison apart from the S2000 which was really nice, imho.
    Cycling should be banned!!!

Betty how much is she wanting to pay. This model will not be released here in the LOS and she would have to buy one in the gray market. Not really a good idea... But you have bragged about your wealth so why not pick one up for her..

From the BKK Post 4 years ago..

Here's the uncool bit. Honda has merely said the S660 is for sale in Japan, with a sales target of 600 per month. There's also a special version called Concept Edition to mark the return of Honda's mini-roadster made in just 660 samples.
Although the S660 won't be available in Thailand officially, it may hit the grey market, where it would cost between 1.5-2 million baht.

I am poor and what little money I have she takes - she even complains when I spend a bit of dosh on meself for a guitar, etc.

She is convinced, says she was watching Thai TV reporting it today, that Thai Honda dealers will be selling it. I don't know, I'm just reporting what she says, and as you fellas know: Thai wives are never wrong about anything!

Everytime she hears me playing it she starts complaining about how much money I spend on meself...

Honestly, for another mil baht or so, one could roll in a Subaru WRX 3.0. A few ECU upgrades to change the boost signal and increase fueling and that WRX would simply fly. I showed my wife one at the motor show. She said "Yeah Yeah...whatever, buy one when you win the lottery"....

I do know just what you mean. Also when she finds out its not available here except in the grey market she will simply go quiet and there will be no further mention of it...

Out of curiosity I just read the specs on the S660. Pretty under powered for a little canyon carver. 64HP. Zero to 60 is 13 seconds..... Now that's some eyeball flattening G's .....

I'd like to see that at 130 to 150HP and zero to 60 in 7 to 8 seconds to make it really fun.

forester has 156hp and is a jacked up SUV wank looking thing.

The WRX has 268hp (STI has 300hp) and is built to go round corners.

how do you figure they are the same ?

Might be low enough to slide straight under the back end of a lorry, should be ok if people duck no injuries will occur.

Yeah, I was thinking similar, but consider the upside: roof down along Silom picking up a couple of ladyboys...

Handy for the Road Trains doing U Turns on the Thai Motorways, the fact they allow U Turns on Motorways still staggers me and its quite scary seeing whole lanes grind to a halt from 80-100mph whilst they wait for lorries to turn around

Fndles are you on your period?.

They are 4 lane highways, i call them motorways. IF you call them highways then no motorways have U turns - you can move on now.
