Come on over David. Have a full liquor cabinet. I just squeezed me up about 30 limes to make some margs or maybe a whiskey sour or 4. I think I have a couple of beers in the fridge but we would need to check the dates. They have been there for awhile.

Back to the thread, I always like Darts, Roadrunners, GTX's. Of course over here in "Merica" they all had 383's 426's or the 440ci motors. There is no replacing cubic inches as they say....

there are many, including colin chapman, who beg to differ.

“Simplify, then add lightness”, he said. It was his philosophy, way before 'minimalism' became fashionable. “Adding power makes you faster on the straights; subtracting weight makes you faster everywhere”,

They never ran good though had shit transmissions as you have already stated. My buddy had an inline 6 Dodge Scamp like this one...

It was not near as nice as it was bone stock model that his dad who was a college professor gave him as a hand me down. Damn thing had no suspension, full drum brakes and was slow as shit. But we still used to powerslide that bitch and use it to wipeout mailboxes with baseball bats when I was a kid.

I, for one, like that shape of that Valiant. Blokish, not timeless, but appealing in it's own right.

In the same breath, I love an original Mini Cooper S, BRG, white roof and ROH wheels.
Cut my teeth working on Minis while still at school.

I don't like all Minis ... nor Valiants.

The CM series does nothing for me

And a warning, here possibly goes my street cred but ...

Not for my daily drive, but I'd love to own a Citroën DS series, a 23 if possible.
Impartial to the DX series, but partial to the DS.

Each to their own ... I'm off to kick back and sink a few cold ones with JPPR2
Each to their own, as you say....

The Citroen DS (deesse) really is a classic. It may not be to everyone's taste but it was well ahead of its time and had some fun wizardry wherever you looked.

I had a lot of fun in the original mini and the escort...

That ugly car in the other pic is just plain square...no appeal for me at all. Not even a V8 to compensate.

If the forum glitch is now gonna insert random images from me into other poster's posts, it would be good if it selected pictures of me coc..... training run times is fine.

    Didn't need one.

The Hemi six outperformed or matched most V8's of the day.
