The slant engine on some Valiants was interesting, but their cornering was pretty awful.

boasting about money again i see.

the fact that you paid money for that ugly red chest wig chariot marks you out as a man of no sense and little if any taste.

what might be acceptable in the antipodean "classic" car world, populated as it is with low iq neanderthals who consider that the stuffing of a brute force low efficiency engine into an ugly suburban shitbox saloon constitutes the height of sophistication, would be laughed off the stage at any meet of true classics anywhere else in the world, apart from alabama that is.

everything about it screams chav, meathead, moron, all mouth and no trousers, and so in that respect it is an eminently suitable vehicle for someone like yourself, but the only place you could drive that carbuncle in europe without ridicule would be on a council estate in dagenham, its natural home, doing smokey doughnuts in the aldi car park. ....... and that is where you both belong.

Not really but to recap: Fondles doesn't believe that RB's can reliably make decent horsepower and is really angry for some reason; and Prancer is still a loser who really wants me to care that he doesn't like my cars.

Edit: oh and taxi -- another who owns and knows nothing -- came in a bit late to rant about something also.

Meh, eye of the beholder, to each their own and all that.

And any point taxi has is also undermined by the fact he's one of those anorak wearing, nut counting, types who would go to a car show, criticize everyone else's based on his Googled 'knowledge', and then drive back to his sad, empty and boring little life of anger in a sad, empty and boring little car.

Ohh shit. Man thats small. Here I was thinking we were going to talk cubic inches.

I have to say, I can honestly not comment on a straight 6 albeit I had read that some guys have found ways to make good power with them and turbo's but no need to spend the time on them when you can drop in a V8 and sky's the limit

Not unheard of to squeeze 1200hp out of an RB30

I had a buddy in the US that had a Dodge Dart GTS 1969 I believe A valiant sort of. Had a 340 in it. Thing was pretty quick. Little heavy though and Chrysler hadn't figure out how to build a good rear end like Chevrolet and Ford.

Yeah, up until that model pictured (VG) Chrysler AU shared the platform with their US cousins, very similar looking cars

Well I tooks me a little ride over to the "Love Fest" music festival as so professionally done up on the banner for a big concert by the beach. I had 3 or so pre flight Bourbon doubles and then took some with me. Bands were good (and loud as we have grown to love and enjoy here). View was stellar. I mozzied back to my pad and had me a few more.

You see Tax and Ant et.al.

I, for one, like that shape of that Valiant. Blokish, not timeless, but appealing in it's own right.

In the same breath, I love an original Mini Cooper S, BRG, white roof and ROH wheels.
Cut my teeth working on Minis while still at school.

I don't like all Minis ... nor Valiants.

The CM series does nothing for me

    ---

And a warning, here possibly goes my street cred but ...

Not for my daily drive, but I'd love to own a Citroën DS series, a 23 if possible.
Impartial to the DX series, but partial to the DS.

Each to their own ... I'm off to kick back and sink a few cold ones with JPPR2

Well you defo seem quite angry for a not angry person.

Anyways I have posted some facts, even directed you to the appropriate information, yet here you are name-calling and throwing around unsubstantiated accusations that I'm lying -- and still waiting for you to elucidate on what I'm lying about and why I would too.
